Great vacation home with huge deck overlooking Island Lake. Sandy beach area, clear water lake with great fishing in spring, summer and fall. 30 miles to Hayward and 20 miles to Brule. Great Snowmobile and ATV trails accessible from the house. Great ice fishing in the winter. Lots of space but yet very quiet and private. Fire pit down by the lake. Kayak and pontoon rentals for your use. The home is perfect for large families, groups or for 2 families as each level has multiple bedrooms and a full bath. Open concept with vaulted ceilings
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

Summary: We came up for the main purpose of side-by-side riding. Cabin is located very conveniently to get on and off trails. Had young kids and they loved loved playing in the water. The water is clean and cold. Would highly recommend cabin for people with children. Conveniently located and all kinds of stuff for them to do . Thank you we will for sure be coming back.

Summary: We had an excellent time staying in this cabin. It was everything we expected and more. Very well maintained, nice decor and ambience, amazing view of island lake. Highly recommended!

Summary: We, as family, were happy to be spending a few days "up north" by a lake. We were looking forward to staying in a comfortable, clean house. We definitely were satisfied with the location of the property but were disappointed with the cleanliness and appropriateness of the house; especially the downstairs sleeping areas. The furniture in the main floor living room had a strong, unpleasant odor and there were black bugs climbing the walls by the refrigerator. The basement living/sleeping area was musty and had a foul smell. One of the "bedrooms" was a small closet-like space with no windows. It smelled of mold and, as such, no one felt safe to sleep in it. We did not contact the owner about any of this since we were only staying for a few days and there weren't any obvious easy fixes. The property is for sale (there is a sign posted outside) and it may be that the owner is reluctant to invest the time and resources to do the necessary upgrades to make the property safe and comfortable for paying guests. However, as this property is still being rented as a vacation stay, efforts to make the necessary upgrades and complete deeper cleaning should be required by VRBO.

Summary: Overall it went well. There was sand on the couches downstairs and someone had to sleep on it. We ran out of toilet paper and we had to go buy some. It went overall well.

Summary: Pretty nice inside with all the conveniences. Lake is great & quiet. A little water from heavy rain leaked into downstairs bedroom & entry way under the deck. For this rental cost is seemed petty to lock up Kayaks and ask for more rental money. The old pontoon had many tape patches & needed serious work. I decided not rent it. The path to the beach was washed out (worse after the rain) & has a few low tree stump trip hazards in the path areas. One guest tripped & fell.

Summary: Very comfortable! We enjoyed our stay. The pontoon wasn't working but after we saw it we wouldn't have rented it. It was on bad condition, so that wS disappointing.The yard needed some upkeep like mowing and just general clean up. But all in all we had a great time?
