Or about 5 minutes to the Carmel River Beach. Downtown Carmel with its charming cobblestone streets, courtyards, restaurants and shops is about a 15-20 minute walk along the ocean, on the beach path.

The house was remodeled in 2015 using ideas from the holistic Living Building Challenge program. It was built using sustainably produced and highly efficient materials, which are better for human health, avoiding those on the program’s Red List. It has solar panels, rainwater capture system, gray water system, green driveway, and living roof. The living wall inside adds beauty and keeps the air clean and fresh. Summary: We enjoyed the ocean views from the LR and being one block from the scenic road and walk was fabulous. The homes has such a relaxing atmosphere since like minimalism. Very close to town for fine dining and shopping. We never cooked but the kitchen is well stocked and the wine glasses perfect.
