Positive: Very nice building, exceptional breakfast. All in all it was pleasant, but..

Negative: We arrived late and tired, and wnated to have dinner, but it was not possible, as they were fully booked. Very dissapointing, that hotel guests cannot have dinner, not even room service available. Non electric cars were parking on the charging parking places and that wqs okay….., so we couldn’t charge the car during our stay. No water/kettle/minibar/anything in the room.

Positive: Works well for a night stopover. Outside of property well kept. Ample parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. To note property is pet-friendly but the restaurant is not. Had booked a table to be told on coming down to eat that our small dog was not allowed in. There is no note of this on the property website or booking reservations so only options are to leave pet in room or room service.

Negative: Though no assistance offered with luggage to the room. Hallway carpet to rooms very worn and tired looking. Room was ok but lacking of most of the amenities most other hotels offer as standard nowadays. No fridge. No coffee or tea facilities. Several lights not working. Furniture oldish. Not soundproof. Could hear everything next door and in corridor. Cleaning lady not sympathetic when cleaning other rooms that other guests might wish to sleep in. Lots of banging around. However, totally unacceptable was the black mound around the bath! On mentioning these matters to reception, the staff did take note but no sort of compensation was offered. Price of room absolutely not justified because of this.

Negative: We had asked for a freestanding or walk in shower. We were given a room with a wheelchair accessible shower on the ground floor, neither of which we had requested. The room was in an annex so when it rained we had no protection when crossing to the dining room for dinner and breakfast. No umbrellas were made available.. In use, the shower flooded the bathroom. With no disabled parking spaces allocated, we were lucky to get a space near our room. Reception told us on arrival that if there were no parking spaces near the hotel they had a car park somewhere around the back, some distance from the accommodation. There was no offer to assist. Paper cups provided are useless and leak. If you can't use glass, offer china mugs or use recycled plastic. There was no plug in the basin resulting in excessive water use.
