Positive: Beautiful hotel that is built into the coast so has its own access to the water. The staff are really the highlight - Mauro organised everything for us and was beyond helpful; he booked all of our transport and restaurants, and always had great recommendations.
Negative: The beds by the water aren’t included in the price but you certain rooms have beds on the grass. You have to go up/down a lot of steps to exit/enter the property so not accessible to everyone.

Positive: Our stay at Gardenia Mare was just perfect. Our hosts were so gracious and helpful. The property is stunning and the apartment was perfect for our family of four. And if you can, EAT AT THE RESTAURANT--OMG. The food, service and views are unparalleled. Though youre a bit of a walk from the nearest town, Mauro was more than happy to book us a water taxi (best way to arrive to the property and/or to visit the nearest town).
Negative: As other have mentioned, STAIRS. Lot's of them. Arrive by water taxi instead.

Positive: Gorgeous! The property is amazing and pictures online do not do it justice. The host, Mauro was so helpful and professional. He catered to our meal needs, ordered water taxis and rental cars for us, and helped us plan and navigate the island. It was like we had a private concierge the entire stay. The staff at the restaurant and at the beach were wonderful also and extremely attentive. The service was literally the best I’ve ever had! We will stay here again when we return to Ischia!

Positive: ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, the apartment was so large and spacious with a balcony and private outdoor dining area! the beach club was beautiful and the restaurant is incredible. We booked a table in the restaurant and had the most incredible view of Castello at sunset, I could not recommend everything more! absolute perfection! The staff - particularily Mauro went above and beyond for us! We will be back!

Positive: The location is close to port, and downtown. It is incredibly beautiful, right on the water. Incredible views. Beautiful gardens. The staff is amazing. Fresh cornettos and cafe to your room daily if you chose. The staff can arrange boat tours water taxis - they go way above. Beautiful balconies to see views, and indoor and outdoor dining area with apartment. Beach club during the day. Very quiet for sleeping at night. I can’t recommend this place more. A beautiful sanctuary for vacation.
Negative: Stairs may be a problem for some, but water taxi is available. I would stay here every time,
