Positive: The place is actually very good, i was expecting a cheap room quality because the fee is very less. belive me, im a film maker and i have travelled all around hampi, and gopi place is the best place to chill

Positive: My stay at Gopi Plantation Homestay was in one word: magical. I was there during 5 days and I wish I could have stayed longer. Just this place makes me want to come back to Hampi next time I visit India. The welcome was warm and during my stay I felt cared for as if I was a family member. The family feeling of the homestay make it a unique experience as well. This is a heartfelt place in the middle of beautiful nature and scenery. The home-cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner is amazing. I was traveling as a solo female traveler and Hampi was the one place in India where I always felt very comfortable, very safe and at ease. Then there was rikshaw driver Madha who also made it an unforgettable stay. Always picking me up at Gopi’s plantation, he brought me to the known and unknown places and dedicated his time to make every day a unique day. Madha can drive you to places but he can also organise very unique tours around the hidden gems of Hampi. My stay at Gopi Plantation Homestay added to the magic that Hampi already is. Super good sleep in a cosy and spacious room, the kindest and warmest hosts, good talks and laughter, incredible food, amazing scenery … I’m happy I found this place.

Positive: The homestay is in a beautiful setting amongst a banana plantation. There are also huge rocks, common in Hampi, set just behind the rooms which you can climb up to watch the sunrise and sunset, looking out across a vast landscape. This was a highlight for me. It is in a very peaceful area and requires an Autorickshaw to travel to the city if you want to venture that way. The bathroom was a good size and had hot water. I stayed in a room for 3 people, and think that the size is big enough for that many people. The traditional breakfast provided was very tasty and I also ate other meals there too, all made from scratch. The owners of the homestay have great ideas to evolve the area and to include a yoga and meditation space and small bookshop/library, which I think would complement the area and intention of the homestay. They ensured I was comfortable and enjoyed my time there.

Positive: Gopi is charming and charismatic. This place is certainly in the midst of nature and evenings are serenaded by a chorus of frogs and crickets. It’s completely different than the scruffy village of Hampi !
Negative: You really need a car to enjoy this place as it is a long way from everything. It can’t really be described as ‘Delux’ !

Positive: The calm and serene beauty of the place is unbeatable. The host and his staff were warm.The service was good.
Negative: The location is a bit far so you can't manage if you don't rent a bike however, the location only helps in giving a calm vibe.

Positive: Gopi plantation is a magic place surrounded by green banana trees, a peaceful river and astonishing monolithic rocks (best spots for sunset watching). This and the hammocks in the garden make Gopi the perfect place to chill during the searing heat of noon . The staff is lovely, always available in helping out, the relaxed vibes and the tasty food make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
