Summary: If you like historic homes with plenty of charm you will enjoy Driftwood House. Located in the center of the Gillespie Park neighborhood, it is a quintessential, quiet place with plenty of character. There is a great front porch and plenty of yard space for dining outdoors. There is also a small grass yard. The bedrooms are generous in space. Beds were comfortable. We brought our own pillows but I'm sure the ones provided were just fine. As an older home there is only one thermostat for upstairs and downstairs. As such it can sometimes be too cool downstairs yet a bit warm upstairs. Not a big deal and it just took a bit to find our right temperature. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you will need. The living room/ dining room is plenty big with lots of seating areas. There is one TV and it is connected to Roku so everything is streaming. This is a bit clunky but if you are used to streaming then probably not an issue. The one downside to the home is that there is only one full bath. There were just the two of us so it was not a problem but would be difficult to have another couple visit with just one full bath. Location of the home is a big plus. We were able to walk into the center of Sarasota virtually every day. There are a couple of very nice restaurants a five minute walk away that makes it easy to eat out or walk to the Whole Foods for groceries. We stayed at Driftwood House for 2 months so got a very good sense of the house, the neighborhood and the greater Sarasota area. Overall, we were pleased with the property and would recommend it to a couple or small family. The owners were very accessible. We did not have any issues but there is a handyman in the neighborhood that looks after the house. The neighbors were all very friendly. It really felt like home while we were there.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. The property owner checked in and was available for any questions we had. This is a great place to host a dinner or bbq. The front porch is fun to relax on. The beds were all very comfortable. They had plenty of beach chairs, towels and beach umbrellas- and beach recommendations! It was really lovely. I hope to come back and stay with my 3 kids on my next trip to the Gulf Coast.

Summary: We came down to move my college-age daughter down for a summer internship at Mote Aquarium. Everything was perfect for our stay while we got her settled. Jessica is a great host! Warm and welcoming, and reaching out to us to make sure we arrived okay and had everything we needed. We played pickleball at a nearby park, walked to restaurants and bars downtown, and were close enough for an easy drive to Lido Key, Mote Aquarium, and Siesta Key. The beds are comfortable, we had everything we needed, and my favorite thing was sipping my morning coffee on the big front porch, enjoying the warm breezes and listening to the birds. Thank you for everything Jessica! Your place is perfect! Marcy, John and Katerina

Summary: This is a wonderful find in Sarasota. Close to everything but in a quiet and lovely neighborhood and easily walkable to restaurants and shops, grocery, super close to airport. The hosts were very communicative and they have thought of everything. Lots of sweet little considerations, super equipped kitchen, easy to operate. The standout for me was the lovely front and back porches, fenced courtyard, all very comfy. Lots of places for a large group to spread out. Lastly, the energy and charm is really special in this older home, it all made for a memorable and relaxing stay!

Summary: We stayed for a long weekend away, and this house was perfect. It was close to Lido Beach and other beaches in the area. Our boys loved the Harry Potter closet. The house was super clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have encountered while travelling. We would stay here again if we are in the area!
