Mar house is a bright and airy fully refurbished house, a 2 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach (East sands) 10-15 easy walk and on a regular bus route into the thriving town of St. Andrews. There are also buses stopping a 20 or so metres from the front door which will take you to the many local villages of the East Neuk. Mar house is central for all local golf courses and amenities. This fabulous house has a great entertaining space with a huge kitchen diner, fully equipped with bifold doors leading out to the decking area.
There is 3 bedrooms on the second floor, the first which can be configured from a superking bed to twins. The second bedroom is a very comfortable king and the third room is set as twins. Two superb shower rooms one upstairs and one downstairs.
A 55” smart TV with access to all downloadable channels and live tv, along with electric recliners are situated in the lounge. We also provide full Wi-Fi.
We supply all bedding and towels with lots of little extras.

Summary: Nadine’s house is absolutely beautiful! The photos actually don’t do it justice. The whole house is very modern & luxurious. It has everything you could possibly need with an amazing kitchen which has large patio doors out to the garden. The garden is a great size, fully enclosed which was great for our wee dog. There’s a lovely garden table & chairs on a lovely composite deck. Nadine has thought of everything & definitely goes above & beyond for her guests. There was a lovely welcome pack of milk, orange juice, nibbles plus biscuits for our dog along with a towel & dog bowls for him ! We only used the master bedroom & the bed was extremely comfortable with beautiful bedding. We used both showers which were excellent & very powerful - no one likes a weak shower ! The house is only a 15 minute walk into the town and less than that to walk to the east sands This house is an excellent find & id highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in St Andrews Thanks Nadine

Summary: The property had been refurbished to a very high standard, but this did not take away from the fact that it was a semi-detached ex-council house in a huge housing scheme. Calling the house Marr House gives the house a certain "grandeur" and is very misleading to potential clients. Had there been a picture of the property on your website, we would never have made the booking. While it was very conveniently located and no fault could be found with the property's internal decor, the outside left a lot to be desired for the amount of money we paid for a 3 night stay. The website does not state that the property is situated on one of the busiest roads in St Andrews with double decker buses, fire engines and ambulances, as well as a huge amount of traffic using it day and night. The property is also overlooked by a great deal of other properties because it is in the centre of a very large housing scheme, and although there was a nice patio area outside the kitchen, it would be very difficult to sit there to enjoy a cuppa or a glass of wine without a thousand pairs of eyes watching you. The other misleading fact in your advert is that there is an en-suite in one of the bedrooms. There is NOT an en-suite shower room as you have to come OUT of the main bedroom into the corridor to enter the shower room. It is simply a 3 bedroom house with a shower room upstairs and a shower room downstairs. The fact that two of the bedrooms are served by a downstairs shower room is not ideal either.

Summary: Great location as the ⭐️ attest very clean, ideally placed for us as we enjoy a walk to our destination and after our meals. Nice treats and milk/juice/ground coffee on arrival. Only things to mention for us would be the ‘smart’ TVs is not ideal when you just want to have a bit of normal telly to watch at breakfast when you want to just flick through the news channels. And there was no name or number on the property so it was a little hard to find in the dark in the end using the neighbours numbers to identify which was ours.

Summary: Beautiful 3 bedroom home within walking distance from town. House was exactly was I had hoped for over 6 nights while moving my daughter into her new apartment to start the St. Andrews academic year.. Would definitely stay there again. 5 star experience.

Summary: Lovely comfortable house with space for 6 adults. Great modern large kitchen and decking area. Walk to east sands less than 5 minutes. Walk into town easy. Parking good driveway- we took 2 cars and able to park both off-road. We would all come back here again

Summary: We were thrilled with our stay here! A beautiful well maintained and updated home, amenities in kitchen (for young kids too), and unique touches to make this feel like home away from home!! We enjoyed eating in when we wanted, even had a movie night, had all the necessities and space to do so!! Cozy beds, beautiful local decor!!

Summary: Amazing spot for a group of 3 to 6 guys going to golf at the Home of Golf. Gorgeous walk into town from the location, and it is super easy for cabs to pick you up and take you to the golf courses in the area (15 minutes to Crail/Kingsbarns/Fairmont Courses.) Nadine was a super helpful host on check in and check out. Will stay here again!

Summary: Nadine welcomed us at the house and was absolutely as pleasant as our communication. The house was larger than expected, was very clean and amenities were just right. When we return, we will want to stay here again and only golf around St. Andrews area. Pleasant surprise to have coffee, milk and a few other staples provided. We were also surprised how close were were to the sea walks and downtown (which is simply magical). We thoroughly our stay and highly recommend the experience. Thank you Nadine.
