Positive: The owner and his mother were so kind, they gave us many advice and news about the current event and matsuri. The house is a lovely japanese one with a nice view on the river. It was very big and comfortable for our family. All necessary equipment (bath, laundry, towels, kitchen..);and also nice gifts 😁. It also work like a small conbini as you can buy noodle, drinks whatever you need in the house.

Positive: They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.
Negative: The location is a bit difficult to handle if you do not have a car.
Summary: It was an amazing experience and I would do it again.

Positive: Our host was incredibly welcoming and upgraded us to a recently built house next door so this review is for that house .It is a huge house for Japan and very clean and modern.They have a mini shop and bar that is cheap and handy as it's quite isolated so you need a car. We loved the wee village and as it was snowing it was just beautiful sitting alongside a lake. Communication with the host was excellent.We drove to Guru, only about 20 min for breakfast and an onsen the next day..quite a big town.
Negative: It was very cold sleeping. We are unsure due to translation why the heat pump in the bedroom wasn't working properly ( ie town issue or the heater) but over night with the snow we were incredibly cold from the cold air coming up from the floor. The lounge heat pump worked though so warm in there. The hosts Mum was very apologetic when she came to see us off.

Positive: Wonderful village, add more the landlord is very kind! we were delayed our schedule about 2-3 hours due to the bad traffic conditions in Nagoya city and lost our way in the middle, but he still very patient and wait us to arrive. Very nice place to stay, not very traditional Japanese style but also comfortable.
Negative: I think the only point is the place is too rural, hardly to get there. but bad thing also comes with good. views are beautiful, beside a dam lake.

Negative: On the day we checked out, we confirmed the owner that we would check out at 10 AM. However, the owner came before time and waited for us to leave. It quite pressured for us since we are not ready when she came.
