If you feel like having a pamper day, there is a local beauty therapist who will visit the cottage to offer treatments with prior arrangement with the owner. Situated adjacent to the owner’s property, seven miles between Richmond and Barnard Castle, within seven acres of grounds, Sykelands Grange Cottages are the ideal location for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Discreetly tucked away close to the Yorkshire Dales but ideally positioned off the arterial main routes of the A66 Pennine Way and the A1 Scotch Corner, guests will find themselves within easy driving distance of many popular attractions and locations. The historic and picturesque market town of Barnard Castle can be easily reached within a seven-mile drive and offers guests the opportunity to explore the popular Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle and Raby Castle, as well as the weekly farmer’s market and quaint high street. The Georgian market town of Richmond is just seven miles away in the opposite direction and once again is a great location for guests wanting to visit the castle, theatre, marketplace and also indulge in one of the many traditional tea shops and bakeries there.
The cathedral city of Durham is only a 30-minute drive away and offers guests the opportunity to explore this World Heritage Site. The university campuses can easily be reached within a 35-minute drive making Sykelands Cottage the ideal spot for parents and friends wishing to visit students and loved ones for graduation ceremonies and taster weeks.
