This lovely detached cottage is set in the grounds of the owners’ thatched farmhouse and is a perfect touring base or ideal for simply sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Wits End Cottage is close to Woodhall Spa and Horncastle, and is only 25 minutes into the city of Lincoln and about a 30-minute drive to the traditional seaside resort of Skegness. For days out by car, on foot or by bicycle, the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is close by. From the doorstep are good walks and cycle routes, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for WWII enthusiasts is at Coningsby, just a 15-minute drive. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Summary: Us and our four dogs spent Christmas here and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Very relaxing, no distractions for the dogs and who doesn’t love a hot tub. Welcome pack was lovely, even some treats for the dogs. Can’t recommend enough.

Summary: An absolutely superb stay at a quiet, secluded, little cottage. Everything was fantastic from the hot tub to the delicious homemade Victoria sponge and bread! The only reason I put 9 for the comfort and not 10 is down to personal preference, as we are used to a memory foam mattress and the spring mattress was a little different. Louise and Tim were fantastic hosts, and I’m really pleased we decided to stay here! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: The best holiday! So much to do and to come home from a day out to a beautiful cottage tops it all off. Owners went above and beyond, couldn’t have asked for anything more, especially appreciative that they helped us out when we had car troubles on our departure date with them doing everything to help and finally got us on the road, absolutely wonderful couple and we can’t wait to return.
