Vacation at this quaint waterfront cabin with sandy beach frontage on Sebasticook Lake in Newport, Maine. Have your morning coffee or evening cocktail sitting in the screened in porch overlooking this very large lake. During the day swim, fish, kayak, or canoe in the lake, or take a day trip to Moosehead Lake, 50 miles away or to Bar Harbor, 70 miles away. The cottage has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bathroom with shower (no tub), a fully equipped kitchen, a sleep sofa in the living room. The TV is a smart TV; internet and cable are available. Also included are an outdoor gas grill, an outdoor campfire pit (firewood included), 2 kayaks and a canoe for your use, fishing equipmrnt, life jackets, a picnic table, beach/yard chairs, and an outdoor hammock. There are indoor and outdoor games as well. The lot/yard is private, yet it is only 1 mile from town and I-95. Located 3 hours north of Boston, and 30 minutes south of Bangor.

Summary: We had a short but nice stay here. On one day we took the canoe out on the lake and grilled some sausages over an open fire. The host was very helpful and even brought some toys for the kids. Our kids liked it a lot (and so did we).

Summary: Lois’s place was perfect. It was tidy, comfortable and has everything you need! I love old camps! The view is beautiful, it is private and peaceful. I loved hearing loons, eagles and geese. The screened porch was perfect for watching a thunderstorm my last night. I’m already making plans for next year. Thank you!

Summary: We had a great week staying at Lois and Earle’s cabin! Our 9 & 11 year old kids loved swimming, kayaking in the cove, and fishing. They caught several perch, sunfish, and bass. It was great to have the kitchen for meals, hot shower after swimming, and smart tv for movies to end the day. We loved visiting Sawyer’s dairy bar just a few minutes away. Lois was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We plan to return!

Summary: We just spent a fantastic week at the cabin. So cute. So clean. Well stocked with more than we needed. Owner was so responsive and helpful. Beautiful property. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again.

Summary: I literally feel in love with this place and didn't want to leave! The hosts were so welcoming, generous, kind and friendly. It is such a calming place surrounded by the wonderful sights and sounds of nature. I made memories my family will not forget and look forward to returning often!
