***** This secondary unit of a townhome has 2 private entrances. The owners live upstairs with 2 friendly large dogs. There is a shared wall with year-round neighbors with children and owners live upstairs and therefore noise needs to be kept down and a hared outdoor living space with a gas grill, patio furniture and some green space for you to use.

The Rabbit Ears Pass Retreat is a one of a kind, dog friendly location for your Steamboat vacation. You are situated at the edge of Rabbit Ears Pass in a woods like setting, very close to snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, off-roading, kayaking, rafting & more, and only 7 miles from the Steamboat Resort Ski Area.
You'll feel like you are in a remote, timber mountain retreat with large windows, high ceilings, spectacular views and wood walls, beams and ceilings throughout. This secondary unit of a large, uniquely historical mountain town-home has 2 private entrances. It is NOT handicap accessible and has a number of stairs. The owners live upstairs with 2 friendly large dogs. There is a shared outdoor living space with a gas grill, patio furniture and some green space for you to use. There is ample parking outside the unit, including trailer parking.
Enter the property into the newly remodeled living area. It features a large leather sectional, two leather chairs, a large flat screen tv, a dining table with four chairs, new carpet and flooring.
Off the living area are the bedrooms and a newly installed kitchenette to make simple meals, with dishes, utensils, basic cookware, refrigerator, electric hot plate, coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven.
Bedroom 1 has a king bed.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and two twin beds.
The large bathroom includes a tub/shower combo, as well as a full size washer and dryer.
Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

Summary: I had a great stay with my son and his girlfriend. The unit is everything you would expect of a mountain retreat. Except the kitchen. There isnt one. There is a small wet bar area, which looks much bigger in the photo. We were able to manage bbq’s.

Summary: So, the kitchen is small and the layout is really odd. But the owners are right next door and they are great people. That and the cup de sac is full of good peeps. Great spot for dogs, the other dogs in the street are friendly and all came out to meet our pups.

Summary: It was a nice place, and location outside of town was good. There did not feel to be much privacy because you could hear the people upstairs talking and moving around. The kitchen was small, but workable.

Summary: Great location to visit Steamboat and surrounding areas. The foliage was turning and the fly-fishing was spectacular. Property was beautiful with great views. Lots of steps so be ready to climb a bit.

Summary: Conveniently located just 4 mi from the main town of Steamboat Springs, this house was in the perfect to be close, yet not directly in the center of the hustle and bustle so you had quiet. There was plenty of space for the two of us and our dog. The unit was well equipped with everything we needed and decorated nicely. We especially loved all of the floor to ceiling windows that this space had. We would definitely stay here again!
