A newly renovated (98m2) flat in a classic central area of Kypseli at Athens centre. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people in two double bedrooms.
Our flat is located in the classic Athenian neighborhood of Kypseli. You are in the heart of Athens center. All major sites are within 10-20 minutes’ of distance.
• Bedrooms
The flat offers two bright and air-conditioned bedrooms. They offer 30" smart TVs and have access to the balcony. Both rooms are very spacious, bright and offer wooden flooring.
• Bathrooms
There is one modern, brand new, totally renovated and clean bathroom with a shower cabin plus an extra WC. A washing machine and all kinds of essentials, towels, and toiletries are provided for your stay.
• Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen with all needed modern electrical appliances to help you prepare any meal of the day. Among all the other electrical appliances, you will also find a microwave, kettle, toaster, espresso maker, and filter coffee machine.
• Living Room
In the living room, there is a large three seater sofa, a two seater sofa, dining table, coffee table, a comfortable large armchair and a 40 inches smart TV. There is plenty of light and views coming from the doors and windows and there is direct access to a spacious balcony with table and chairs. The main dining table, suitable for 6 persons is in the same area.

The living room and bedrooms have access to a street view balcony. The balcony has a table and two chairs as well as sun shades.

Summary: The apartment is large, recently renovated, a half block from Kypseli square (lined with restaurants that are packed with Greek locals in the evening), a few blocks from a Sklavenitis supermarket, and a few blocks from the Skyrou bus stop with buses to the center of Athens. Each room has its own air conditioner, and they worked well, appreciated as Athens was over 100F/40C during our stay. Taxis to the center cost 5 to 10 euros. We left taxis that drove in circles or that showed 20 euros on the meter after just a few blocks. When we checked in, the manager said that we could enter the apartment, but we should go out for dinner because a plumber had to come. The previous guests had clogged the plumbing so sewage would back up from the toilet and shower. The apartment was not clean, especially the balconies, which had bird droppings and some trash. Maybe the cleaner couldn't finish after discovering the plumbing problem. They came a few days after we checked in to finish the cleaning and to replace some burnt out light bulbs. They left no bathmat and no spare towels or sheets even though they promised several times to bring them. The bathroom floor was very smooth, so the lack of a bathmat or spare towel was a safety issue. The manager said to flip circuit breakers 13-15 to the hot water heater when we aren't using hot water because the heater might overheat and explode. The wifi is 17Mbps down but only 1Mbps up, so uploading photos is very slow.

Summary: Comfortable, clean flat in quiet area of Kypseli, one block from restaurants and park area. About 25 min walk to downtown area near Acropolis. We would stay here again.
