When you drive through the Wilderness Resort's gate you will know you made the right choice. This 5 acre property sits atop a flat ridge, with lush foliage and beautiful overlooks all while the Williams Creek rumbles below. A private trail has been forged around the property for a close by stroll. If you are feeling more adventurous, then take the path right outside your back door to gain access to the Pilot - Wines Horse Loop Trail in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. You can either drive ride or hike to the Station Camp Crossing on the Big South Fork River. The Big South Fork River is about 6 miles from the cabin. We have park maps and trail maps in the cabin. A large circle drive makes it easy to maneuver your horse trailer. and a large area has been cleared for your portable corral. If you don't have horses and want to ride don't worry you can rent horses nearby. If you need an even faster paced vacation, Brimestone Recreation and Trails End is only a short drive from the Cabin about 30 minutes for atv riding. The cabin is a great place for hiking plenty of trails near by to enjoy and a wonderful place to go fyishing. Great place for family get togethers to share and have wonderful memories.
The firepit in the front yard is framed by log benches. Grill over the open fire on the grilling station with the provided tools or use the propane grill on the wrap around porch. Enjoy your meal on the table under the canopy of trees or in the screened in porch. Once your belly is full, kick back in one of the many rocking chairs, cushioned chairs , couch, or hammock located on the front covered porch, the screened in porch and the open deck out back. While the adults are relaxing, let the kids burn off energy in the sandbox or tossing horse shoes.
When you are ready to go inside, you will be welcomed by the large open concept fully equipped kitchen with the new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. A large handmade log island provides ample prep space. The cedar planked round table and chairs 6 will comfortable seat all your guests.
The Cathedral ceiling in the living room does not hinder the cozy cabin feel due to the large wood- burning stone fireplace. There is plenty of firewood available around the property. If you wish to remain unplugged , then grab a fuzzy blanket and take a nap on the couch, relax in one of the many recliners, or play board games, card games, or work a puzzle all of which are provided. If you wish to be more connected to the outside world, then turn on the big screen television on to connect to the unlimited Wi Fi provided.
Rest will come quickly in the one of the three relaxing bedrooms. The master bedroom on the main level boasts a king bed, night stands , a mounted flat screen television, and a closet with the stackable washer - dryer. A full bath is right outside your bedroom door. A second master bedroom is located on the upper level and has a queen bed , night stand , closet, and a mounted flat screen television. The third bedroom is also located on the upper level and has three twin beds, night stands, dresser, closet , sitting area with rocking chair and a flat screen television.
All beds comes with bedding and a multitude of pillows.
Firewood is provided for the firepit and fireplace.
