Canterbury offers a regular rail service to London Victoria, Charing Cross and Cannon Street and the high-speed rail link connects with London's St Pancras from Canterbury West station in just under one hour. The larger villages of Wingham and Ash are within 5 minutes drive and the cottage has great links to surrounding towns, including, Sandwich, Deal, Whitstable, the Isle of Thanet and the Kent coast. It is also 10 minutes to the bustling town of Sandwich and the Discovery Park (Kent Science Park).
The coast is less than ten miles away from Elmstone and the beautiful seaside towns of Deal and Sandwich with their numerous cafés and antique shops are 10 and 15 minutes drive. There are also numerous other sandy beaches within 30-45 minutes drive of the property. Westwood Cross shopping centre is also conveniently located bringing larger department stores, whilst the Royal St Georges Golf course offers a championship golf course at nearby Sandwich, with Princes and Royal Cirque Ports Golf courses also close-by.

Padbrook Cottage is an enchanting Grade II listed detached character cottage (circa 1712), It has some wonderful period features, such as numerous exposed beams and floorboards, inglenook fireplace and is a delightful mix of period charm and modern convenience. The house has recently undergone a comprehensive programme of renovation and restoration, with a high degree of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The rooms are decorated and furnished in a traditional English Country Cottage-style, with some modern twists. The end result is a delightful mix of period charm and modern convenience, set within beautiful mature gardens which include a pretty, spring fed brook, situated in a picturesque rural setting in between Canterbury and the Kent coast.
The property is entered via a handsome front door, which opens into an entrance hall, with an attractive herringbone brick floor. To the
left of the entrance hall, an oak latch-key door opens into a pleasant sitting room, with exposed beams, stripped floorboards, an exposed brick fireplace with a wood burning stove and even an old bread oven (now used as a quirky storage cupboard).
