Positive: Great location in Keel
Negative: Utensils were filthy. Wheelie bin was overflowing and rubbish being blown around the garden. Chimney had not been swept, so could not have a cosy fire.. Radiator in sitting room broken.. Curtains in bedroom had no blackout quality so woken up each morning before 6am by the brightness.. Sofas uncomfortable as base on each were dipped and had short back.. Also when I booked, no mention was made if "extra charges"... Agent demanded €40.00 on top of all in price or we would lose the booking.. Would not use Sykes Cottages again!!!
Summary: Great time but let down by the cottage

Positive: Location is perfect , clean apartment. view, really helpful lend lady, thank you for her, she is the best. when Syka cottages tried me to move out from cottage, she told me to stay, and no warring.
Negative: Sykas cottages, need improve service and conversation with booking, they called 10000 times and inforsed me to come out from apartment. Booking, took my money and confirmed reservation. but Sykes cottages tried me moved out. it was nightmare.
Summary: Best, I am recommending to go there and see this beautiful places

Positive: Amazing location in Keel village. View of the mountain and short walk to the beach. Garden secure so safe for small children and pets.
Negative: Front door broken so could not be used. House was cold when we arrived and door lying open and floor was soaked with the rain. No outside furniture which was in the house description. Dog poop in the garden which I had to lift. Water pressure in shower very poor and beds extremely hard so we didnt sleep well. Such a pity as location is amazing.
Summary: Overall good with small issues which can be fixed.

Positive: I think the cost for a 4 night stay was too expensive. Karen, our cleaning lady, was very friendly efficient & accommodating. I can't understand why if my daughter came to stay with us, I would have had to pay more . You are hardly going to rent out a room to some stranger in the house we've paid for??? We've been going to Achill for many years but have never come across this before.
Negative: Apart from the warm welcome from Karen. I think the rules & conditions laid down by Booking. com sound unfriendly & prohibiting.

Positive: Location is great , close to beach and bars restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Great stock of towels. Great view of beach and Slievemore from windows.
Negative: Shower facilities were poor. Shower in ensuite not working properly, hose leaking. Alternative Shower in bath poor as no curtain or sides. Also front door difficult to lock and open on arrival so had to leave locked and use back door for duration of stay.
Summary: Great location , overall house OK but shower facilities affected overall stay as lot of swimming don

Positive: Good location. The enclosed garden is ideal for pets
Negative: The property has great potential but needs some attention. For example, the toilet paper was not replaced. It was not clean, there is cobwebs and dirt in lots of locations. The shower did not work well - it didn’t move along the rail, the pressure was awful and the hose was damaged. There was also some tablets in one of the mugs too which was weird.
