Welcome to our idyllic, beautiful, luxurious, cozy, and charming beach house. Note that after your booking a deposit of dkk 5.000 will be charged through vrbo app, to cover your use of electricity and water during your stay. Electricity will be charged dkk 4 per kWh and water charged dkk 100 per m3. The rest of the deposit after deduction of your consumption, will after your stay be transferred back to you through the vrbo app. We read the figure at your arrival and your departure.
Prepare yourself for a wonderful treat, with the ultimate relax to the tones of the gentle waves and bird song as only sounds here. Full of butterflies, the mother deer with her two babies, the hare couple, the squirrels jumping the trees and you literally feel like being in paradise. Spend the days swimming in the house pool 29-30 degrees, and in the sea, read in the shade or soak up the sun on the terraces surrounding the house, find treasure sea shells at the beach, play games under the umbrella, enjoy your siesta under the covered terrace, make bbq lunch on one of the two bbq’s (coal and gas) or at the outdoor fireplace. Take your morning coffee at the beach for the sun rise and morning swim in the crystal clear and calm sea. And just enjoy the most lovely, peaceful time, here in our small piece of Paradise. Reload your batteries, live in the nature, explore the surroundings and sights, or stay here in the house and garden, and let the rest of the world outside. In this beautiful natural nature, full of butterflies and song birds, with daily visits of deer's and wild life on the 3.000 m2 large natural ground/garden.
And do you have to work, the fast speed fiber wifi will offer you all you need.
Situated here in the Skagen area, the bay of Aalbæk, in Bratten Strand, the most beautiful and wild coast line of Denmark. White sandy beach only 100 meter from the cottage, and furthermore the beach is very safe and child friendly, as the coast line “Kattegat” is calm and safe waters. Only 30 seconds by foot and you are at the beach. The cottage is at a closed small natural road with no traffic.
From here you can walk for hours and hours at the beach in the white, soft sand in both north and South direction.
In the middle of this amazing nature, with a wild garden with daily visits of deer's, hares, squirrels, pheasants.
The house is in wood, isolated also for winter / frost, and heated with three new energy saving heating pumps, floor heated and with a fireplace in the middle of the living area, which can heat up all the bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living area.
Enjoy the pool area with the heated indoor pool 29 degrees (new in 2023) sauna and jacuzzi, while you enjoy a full view to the garden and the peaceful wildlife.
Our cottage is delicately decorated in a modern but cozy Scandinavia beach style, nature meets luxury and comfort. Fully equipped kitchen with all the modern equipment you need, lovely pottery and dining , cozy living area with large sofas, pillows, blankets and TV. There is high speed fiber wifi, Chromecast, streaming Netflix hbo max etc, fireplace, PlayStation, songster, board games and much more.
Lovely bedrooms with new beds and cabinets, and two bathrooms.
Terraces surrounding the house with many areas for dining, relaxing, tanning. Outdoor solar heated shower (from May to November ) a bonfire place and bbq area.
This is really a small piece of heaven, so magical, peaceful, beautiful. We spend all possible time here ourselves, and we love taking care of our cottage, doing all the maintenance and I love decorating, creating Zen zones, doing plants and flowers. And I love keeping my cottage clean and welcoming.
The cottage is placed next to the beach and still only short distance to various cities, culture, adventures.
We absolutely love it here, and we feel sure you too will fall in love with this place.
In the area Bratten Strand there is a great playground only 5 minutes walk, a small beach grocery store/café with fresh baked bread, food and ice cream and much more. And a long jetty. Its only 5 minutes walk through a small path from our cottage.
5 minutes by car you are at larger supermarkets, butcher etc
In the nearby little fishing village Standby, you can buy just caught fish at the harbor and enjoy this pearl of a small fishing village. You can walk to Standby along the beach, a beautiful walk, it takes around 30 minutes. You also find lovely restaurants in the nearby villages Standby, Frederikshavn, Sæby, Skagen, Ålbæk, Lønstrup, Tversted. All within 10- 30 minutes drive.
The beach in Bratten is perfect for beach games, kayak, stand up paddle, wind surf and of course swimming.
And there are endless walking/running tracks and routes, bicycle routes and trips.
From Bratten there is a small train, taking you on hour basis to Skagen and Frederikshavn within 30 minutes. In Skagen you have to explore the Grenen where the Kattegat / Baltic sea and the Atlantic / West coast sea meet. Its so beautiful.

Important: read carefully!
- dkk 5.000 deposit will be charged through vrbo after your booking for covering your consumption of water and electricity, and it will be paid back to you after your stay less your consumption through vrbo.
- you can book bed linens / sheets, extra cost dkk 250 pr person - you pay this to me upon arrival
- no possibility of charging of electric cars / not allowed. You can charge at the petrol station 5 minutes away.
- remember to bring your bedsheets/linen and towels if you do not wish to rent this from me. My bedsheets are new and Cotton. I supply you plenty of towels, bath towels and kitchen cloths etc.
- no pets (its an allergy friendly home, we unfortunately suffer from serious allergy of dust and fur.
- no smoking in the house. Only outside - kindly use the ashtrays.
- always bring garden parasols down when you do not use them, when you leave the house and of course at night. The wind can shift very quickly and go from no wind to strong wind in few seconds. The wind will break the parasols.
- garden cushions always inside the house when not in use, when you leave the house and of course at night. The evening dew and rain will ruin them otherwise.
- if you use the fireplace in the garden, remember to bring the water hose, so fire never can escalate. The area is full of wood houses and pine trees.
- keep the door to the pool area locked always, so children cannot access without parents, and the humit from the pool does not enter the rest of the house.
- bring two sets of swim wear and one beach towels - one for the pool, one for the beach / garden. This is of vital importance. Towels and swim wear used at the beach are completely forbidden in the pool and pool area. It will ruin the pool, the pumps and filters and the water. Dkk 20.000 will be changed if this is not followed, as we have to empty the pool for water and refill it and make check on all filters, pumps and foil by the pool company. It has never been an issue, our sweet guests are always following this. I just have to specify it so strongly, so it is very clear.

- this is our private holiday cottage, kindly handle it with care and love
We meet at the house at your arrival and departure. I love to welcome my guests. I always prepare a welcome snack, tea coffee etc. You also find selection of spices, sugar, oil etc.
This is out private holiday cottage, so I also always leave our things for our guests to use.
Example;
-beach chairs and beach umbrella and tow truck.
-Lots of cooking herbs on the terrace for your use for cooking and bbq.
- games, board games, card games, cooking books, books.
- hairdryer
Also I always prepare for guests:
- kitchen paper, toilet paper
- washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs
- hand soaps
- baking paper, foil, film
- cleaning products, cloths
- tea and coffee
- salt pepper and sugar
- tea towels and dish cloths
- small hand/guest towels in bathrooms and kitchen
- towels for pool/area (cannot go outside/to the beach)
- body Wash and shampoo in pool bathroom - must be used each time before using the pool

- Before your departure:
Kindly organize and leave the house, furniture's and all things where and how you found it by arrival. Inside and outside.
All your kitchen waste, open food left overs etc you kindly put in the garbage containers.
You keep the kitchen, bbq’s, oven, surfaces etc clean when used. And in general keep the house nice and orderly.
If sandy floors please kindly run quickly with the hoover, so sand and dirt will not be in the furniture's and beds.
In general, leave the house and interior how you like to receive it.
Important: always lock the house and Windows when you go out. Place the Key in the Key lock box each time, so you never loose it.
