Summary: We enjoyed our stay at chateau Mariol despite the unfavourable weather. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Although we think there is too much furniture, it didn’t bother us. The owner, Lydia, was always helpful. The separate pool was lovely, a short walk through the garden away. So always think twice what you need. There are some pool toys, a toilet, and a ping pong table (including ball and bats). The pool is shared, but you hardly see anyone. In Mariol, there is not much to do. A walk around town or in the forest. The village has a bakery at a 5 min walk from the chateau. We visited a few villages in the neighbourhood and, of course, Vichy. We really enjoyed our trips to Clermont Ferrand. Worth the drive.

Summary: A lovely spot. A very large apartment with large rooms which have been beautifully upgraded and furnished. Everything is new and top quality. The location is very quiet and peaceful but close to Vichy etc. Thoroughly recommended.

Summary: We really enjoyed our 2-weeks stay in this castle. Kitchen, bathrooms and toilets all were very clean and modern. Because the owners live in this part of the castle themselves during the winter period, the furniture etc was better than expected and plenty of it. Very good combination of possibilities to rest in the garden, the terras or the castle itself, swimming, cycling, visiting cities and other interesting things to do in the surroundings. The owners are very helpful to guide you on what to do or to help with all other items you might need during your stay. Lots of value for money. We recommend it!

Summary: The extremely spacious and well appointed apartment is located within one section of the Chateau de Mariol which is at the edge of a quiet village. The apartment itself has everything you need and is very large with plenty of space to find a quiet corner to read or enjoy family get togethers in the living area or the terrace. The renovation has been really well done and has the nice character of a French chateau but with all modern kitchen amenities and modern bathrooms. There are a number of small towns surrounding Mariol with many points of interest and great local food and wine producers. There are also some nearby lakes and kid oriented theme parcs if you need them. The castle includes a nice pool which you have full access to and was just brilliant to plunge into at the end of a day exploring the area. Our hosts Lydia and Philippe are extremely kind and helpful. We love them and their hospitality is unparalleled. I can't recommend this home enough! We will certainly return. Merci beaucoup Lydia et Philippe! À bientôt!

Summary: We stayed here for two weeks and really enjoyed it. The accommodation was excellent and had everything you could want or need and more. The pool and grounds were beautifully kept and to top it all Lydia and Philippe could not have been more helpful and friendly. This really was a fantastic property and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Summary: We stayed here in August 2013 and this is the most amazing summerholiday home I have ever seen. We came with our two girls 6 and 9 years old, and they spent hours in the swimming pool on the beautiful grounds. The Suite is renovated to the highest standards and was absolutely huge and well kept with everything one could need for cooking etc. The landlords and the neighbours were all extremly welcoming and helpful. This place ist great for families with lots of activities and of course great hiking opporunities if you are going without children. All in all a 5 Star holiday!!!
