Summary: This property was perfect for what we were looking for with our family gathering. There was a screen porch which my mom (mobility issues) was able to sit and enjoy a view of the water. There were a few steps to enter the house but once on the first floor she was able to navigate very well. Also nice to have bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer/dryer were very conveniently located. Fishing off the dock was great - just bring bug spray for the trek between the house and the dock (but to be expected as you are close to the water). Overall a great visit and hope to return.

Summary: Property was beautiful! We stayed with 4 kids (ages7-18) and two adults. Plenty of space no one was right on top of each other! Dock was definitely a hit as most nights were spent fishing and enjoying the view. House was clean and the screen In porch was huge to be able to enjoy the nighttime outside as well without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. We would absolutely stay at this property again. Home was stocked with everything you would need!

Summary: The house is spacious and very well maintained. The view from the screened porch is so peaceful and became our regular gathering place. We were able to put our 21’ center console boat in at the marina around the corner and dock it at the pier. At low tide, the boat was almost sitting on bottom, so plan your boating trips with the tides! We rarely saw other people on the water, but we did catch a few keeper fish and several rays. Bring your sunscreen and bug spray and you won’t be disappointed!

Summary: We made good use of the boat dock. Did a lot of fishing off the dock and caught mostly stingrays. We rented a couple of kayaks for the week and had it delivered to the house. We explored Deep Creek and the bay. We brought our 16' skiff. The marina to the bay is just a couple minutes away and the launch fee is $5. The house has several crab traps and we were able to catch enough blue crabs over the course of the week to make a meal (we kept the crabs alive in coolers) - the house needs a large pots to cook crabs and to boil spaghetti noodles. The house was surprisingly larger than the pictures showed. With a house full of teens, everyone wanted their space. The only issue was the internet and cell service. It was very slow and spotty. We can really tell when more than a couple of people trying to use the wifi. We were barely able to watch Netflex on one device at a time. No one else can do much else. Then again, we're out there to relax. Less technology is better (unless you need the internet to work). We had a great time! Would definitely return to the house again. Thanks!

Summary: The house was nice and clean and comfortable. When inside, We spent most of the time on the screened porch watching the water. The property and dock were amazing. Dogs loved it too. The ramp for our boat was very close and even at low tide with our boat needing 11” depth, there was enough water to get through. Pete is a great host and went well and beyond to make our stay special. Will definitely return.

Summary: Cleaning staff dropped the ball. Place had been used by a family with 5 kids before our stay ..... the cleaner admitted as much when we showed a little early. The family had not left until late and she had " a mess to deal with". We returned later and the house was loxked and the vrbo check in process not ev2n set up on the app!!! So there we are litterally in a backwater in lord knows where getting eaten by the biggest flies I have ever seen unable to get into our rental. ..... but then.... I diwcovered the security key door unlocked!! So we moved in. Beautiful big AC house and nicely appointed but it was grimey!! All high touch surfaces icky with smeared attwmpts at cleaning and outright dirty food covered hand prints around mirrors and the bunk room door jams and door handles. My wife and I took an hour cleaning these areas and we discovered more during out time there...... Now back to the security and check in ..... what a mess. So we move in and were getting ready to head to dinner and realize we cant lock the house...... still no contact from the property manager. We decided to leave. Thankfully while we are out VRBO are able to track down the property manager, he calls us and is like ...." ah you dont have the security key? Howd you get in? Anyway... we get the code twll him about the mess and try to start our vacation. Restaurant is good town is quaint, rental is big and well appointed and cool so we are good. The property hqd a jetty the kids swam off and we have a small dog that loved it there. Being outside any where but town was a serious no go dur to horse sized flies...... a beach we tried to visit we renamed misery bay..... it was a wash due to the bugs. Take aways about this place ....... nice in low bug numbers probably a decent spot in the winter for a quiet break. It is very quiet. Summer visits are chwllenging because of the bugs. No amount of poison on our bodies would stop them.
