Summary: I had an amazing day in Vezzano! I just wanted to know the deep of the Ligurian region, walk, relax and being with nature and I found that and more. The house is beautiful, so comportable, so homelike. Has an amazing view that I really enjoyed. Grazia, the host was polite and helpful, she really cared that everything was good for me. So, if you want to know the insides of a beautiful region in Italy, this is a great option

Summary: All the positive reviews of Grazia Maria's hilltop stone villa were found to be entirely true. The stone-rustic villa is tastefully decorated; the property is large and quiet with no neighbors. We were prepared not to be able to park at the property due to the size of our Jeep, but that was no problem. We have never rented a place before where the owner was on site, so I was a little nervous about this change in plans. However, Grazia never imposed and her presence was a welcome air of graciousness and kindness during our stay. She used the pool a few times and had her dogs with her for a few short visits, but they were lovely creatures who in no way disturbed our little dog. She truly cared about our comfort and happiness --a rarity in the commercial world of renting to complete strangers! The kitchen could use some more basic utensils (salad spinner, basic spices, scissors, tongs, cereal bowls) but as soon as Grazia heard our requests she offered what she had on site at her own little house adjacent to the main house where we stayed. The pool was lovely beyond words with a fabulous view of the lower valley. I booked the place at the time there was still a horse and mule on the property, which my 12 year old was looking forward to seeing, but these creatures have since been moved to a nearby stall. That was probably the only expectation that was not fulfilled! We had the best pizza any of us have ever had in our lives in this village restaurant, and we also discovered other fabulous eateries in nearby towns. The solitude here was the highlight of our trip (starting in South Tirol for one week, Garda Lake thereafter), and Grazia's little hilltop heaven was just what we needed. She is an amazing soul and the best owner I have met in my many years of renting. Serenity and beautiful views, and nights of very comfortable sleeping were had by all of us. Thank you, Grazia!

Summary: We had a beautiful stay. The house was exactly as promised and Grazia was so helpful with everything. It was a great place to relax out of the way of tourists, but close enough to see everything. The view is even better than the pictures!

Summary: Grazia´s house is gorgeous - everything you could hope for on an Italian holiday. The decor is rustic, cozy and clean with marble countertops and dark wood furniture. All the beds were comfortable and all the windows were covered by mosquito nets to keep the bugs out. The kitchen is big and well stocked. Grazia told us that the house was originally from the 1600´s! The views are magnificent and beautiful, especially from the pool, where you can lounge and relax in natural salt water: paradise! There is a pergola at the back of the house set under a kiwi tree for shade, which includes an outdoor grill and a table for 6 people. In front is a large terrace where we eat most of our meals under the shade of trees. There are beautiful views from all locations, it doesn’t matter where you sit. The property is huge, so you have absolute privacy. Grazia was one the most friendly, attentive and helpful hosts I’ve met. She gave us so much during our stay, and helped us so many times, we are very thankful to her. We enjoyed meeting her friends and family and our daughters played with her daughter very often and had great fun feeding the horses, playing with the dogs and swimming in the pool. The road leading to the house is very small and tricky to maneuver so we most often parked up above in the public parking area, but that wasn’t a problem. Ask Grazia for directions, as the house isn’t easy to find the first time - I would suggest arriving in daylight, not at night. We took 2 amazing private boat trips with Grazia´s husband, as he offers individual tours for guests. We swam in turquoise lagoons, and explored distant sandy beaches and got to see Cinque Terre from the water - we even stoped for drinks at Vernazza and chatted with the locals. As evening set in, we sailed over to Portovenere where we watched the Madonna Bianca Festival from the water. During the festival, the entire fishing village is lit up with over 2000 roman torches. I will never forget this beautiful experience. I can also suggest eating at the pizzeria in the tiny village centre (Osteria delle Pietre). Not only is the pizza the best I’ve ever had, but its very charming to sit in the tiny, historic Italian village center. All in all, it was one of the best vacations we’ve had. Absolutely perfect! Thank you Grazia!

Summary: From the rustic, yet super comfortable farmhouse building to the rolling hills and village bells, this is an experience far removed from the tourist trail. But, if you have access to a car, the delights of Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terra and many more attractions are within easy reach. If you have a large car (as our family of 6 did!) leave the car in the nearby car park, as access is via some very narrow lanes. Grazia is a wonderful host. Communicating with her was easy; and she has video directions for how to get to the property. She gave us lots of local tips for where to go & what to do in the area. The house is large, with plenty of comfortable beds & multiple bathrooms. There is access to a washing machine & sunshine for getting some holiday laundry done. The pool is enticing & our boys also enjoyed the table tennis! If you have a sense of adventure & enjoy accomodation that feels genuine, this is the place for you.

Summary: Our host was amazing and very welcoming. The drive into the property is a bit daunting. We were told we'd need a small car or a good Italian driver!!!! The first time in was a bit scary in our medium sized car but after that no problem. The house has everything you need and plenty of space. It was pretty cool cooking pasta and looking out across the valley to the mountains we later discovered was full of the marble Michelangelo used for his statues. I cannot recommend it enough. We will be back.

Summary: From our first contact, the owner was extremely friendly and helpful - even down to sending accurate directions to the property including a video, which was useful as the property is tucked away at the edge of the village. The approach around narrow streets and tight turns is a little alarming the first time, but you soon get used to it and it is all worthwhile once you arrive. The location means that there are stunning views and it is a peaceful spot. The owner was on hand to greet us when we arrived. We were also given some very good advice about the local area and places to visit. We were impressed with the accommodation, both in terms of layout, equipment and cleanliness. The only complaint is the lack of a coffee table in the lounge! Plenty of outside seating though, so that is a minor issue. The village is charming and has a lovely atmosphere, not very touristy, and the locals were friendly. The pizzeria is recommended and you can get a great croissant at the bar.

Summary: The very first thought I had as I drove up the windy narrow Italian roads was that I wished I had a smaller car. However, the drive was well worth it, and Grazia's directions for the GPS and video for landmarks were all very helpful. If you do find yourself leaving town a different way or crossing a very narrow bridge near a barbwire fence...TURN BACK. That is a road where there are places two cars cannot pass and backing up or down the hill is not easy, especially if you are not used to a clutch or it is nighttime. Take heed! I was working in Massa/Carrara and my friends enjoyed taking the train to Cinque Terra. The property was convenient to do both with short drives to each location. The wifi worked well. The kitchen was awesome to cook in. We planned to use the wood fire pizza oven, but did not have the time. Furniture was comfortable. Area is safe. View is lovely. I can't say more. This is a gem of a place, Grazia and Marcello are very helpful and responsive hosts. Sue L. Minnesota USA

Summary: I have only good things to say.... First of all, Grazia was an incredible host. She went out of her way to make us feel at home, and was always available if we needed her. She also gave really great advice on things to do in the area. She was extremely helpful and friendly! The castle is in an amazing location, tucked away in the beautiful Italian village of Vezanno. The views from the bedroom windows are incredible, and it's also really easy to get to the beach by car or bus. The inside of the castle is typical of Italia, it even has a pizza oven! I stayed in summer, and it was a beautiful and peaceful stay. When I return to Italy, I'll definitely be staying here again! 10/10 to this amazing Place.
