18th Century House with 6 bedrooms, 4 shower rooms with wc ( one also with small bath for children). There is also a large barn, a covered terrace and a 10x5 heated swimming pool, set in half an acre of south facing gardens with a little climbing frame for children.
The kitchen is well equipped for large parties. There are two large fridges and two dishwashers. There is an induction cooker with large electric oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave.
The lounge has large comfortable sofas a TV with French TV and and internet access. There are numerous books.
There is satellite WiFi which is adequate for Netflix etc.
There is a large covered terrace with plenty of seating for 15 people.
The top floor of the barn has been converted into a huge and fantastic covered outdoor space. There are huge sofas, a table tennis table and a dart board.
The pool is heated and south facing, terraced all round and plenty of loungers and a shaded area by the poolside.
It has an electric cover for safety that meets all regulations.
There are two BBQs for summer evenings.

Summary: We had a great week in this house. We were four families with children ranging from 1 to 5 Years. Had all the things we could need including high chairs, cots, Gro blind, children's cutlery, etc. A decent amount of fridge space for us all, could have done with a little more freezer space as we were constantly making ice cubes as it was so hot. The pool area was amazing, we were very glad for the covered area next to the pool so the kids could get some shade. And the electric pool cover gave us peace of mind. The property is rural, but as long as you don't mind a little drive, there are lots of things to do nearby. Our day trip to Lac Genos in the pyrenees was a particular hit, would definitely recommend. Lots of activities, lovely lake, pump tracks and can go up the mountains for lunch. And the nearby restaurant (next to the pool complex in bologne-sur-gesse) which is a 15 minute drive, was lovely. Only downside was it didn't open until 7pm and taking all the young kids out for a meal at that time was a bit testing. There was a play area right outside the restaurant though which was a godsend. Unfortunately there was nowhere else nearby to eat earlier. There are some lovely lakes nearby to swim in which have the aquaparks. We were here during a heatwave, and the upstairs of the house was incredibly hot, a fan for each bedroom would have been nice. Two fans were supplied, but we were using 5 bedrooms, and we all needed one. Also, we didn't realise that mosquitos would be an issue, might be an idea to let guests know to bring repellant. There were lots of books and games to use which went down a treat. And the kids loved that there were a selection of dvds to choose from when they needed some down time in the shade. The house itself is lovely and the garden is even better. Lots of space for the kids to run around and a play area at the bottom was a hit. We had space for 4 cars on the drive but there was also some off street parking outside. The local supermarket in bologne sur gesse has everything we needed, and the bbq area was perfect for making some lovely summer dinners. Would highly recommend this property. Summary: What a brilliant property for a large family group. We were 7 children under 9yrs and 6 adults and everyone had a great time. The pool made the holiday with everyone from 1yrs - 70+yrs. The garden and surrounding area where also ideal with using the bikes available to explore the gorge. The local large swimming lake and inflatable obstacle course was another favourite. Even drove for under an hour for white water rafting. One keen person even cycled over Tourmalet (on own bike). The bedroom layout and kitchen / sitting room have all you need for a relaxing stay with the kids enjoying movie nights with the DVDs available.

Summary: This property has everything a family would want for a memorable holiday. My family went there to celebrate my 70th birthday. That's 14 of us including the grandchildren. The property is big enough if you want a quiet moment and areas where the family can get together to celebrate. The village is quiet and is set in magnificent country. A walk along the local gorge and through the woods plus day trips to The Pyrenees are recommended as is a visit to the market at Bolougne sur Gesse. It was simply a memorable place to stay for a memorable holiday

Summary: We were a big family group of 13 and the accommodation suited us well. The older children enjoyed staying in the barn. The swimming pool was great. The area is rural and we enjoyed a visit to the nearby castle and the Roman villa. The local gorge unfortunately cannot be accessed at the moment. We had a visit to the Pyrenees one day which is just over an hour away and also visited the caves at Garges. The nearest supermarkets were in Boulogne-sur-Gesse and the shop in Blajan only does bread orders. We ate a wonderful meal at the nearby Au Bois D’Escoumos. We would highly recommend the house for a family holiday.

Summary: 19 of us (adults, children and babies) spent a lovely week here on a family holiday. Plenty of space. Swimming pool excellent especially in the very hot weather we experienced. Need your own car as supermarket and boulangerie definitely a drive away (boulangerie in Blajan is now closed so need to go to Boulogne sur Gesse) We experienced a lot of flies, especially in the kitchen and lounge area. Fly sticks seemed to prevent them in the bedrooms and definitely minimised in the open areas. Outdoor BBQ fantastic, shaded seating for meals brilliant, covered barn area huge and great space to play in during hottest part of day, or to avoid rain. Really had everything needed, from seating to sunloungers, kitchen equipment to bathroom towels. Ben quick to respond and really helpful.

Summary: This is not my first stay here, and will go back for as long as I can, it is perfect. However, I took my partner for the first time and he was blown away by the property itself, the facilities and the beauty that surrounds it. The rooms were all made up and extremely clean, the living area has a range of books, games and DVD's should you be unlucky enough to have rain. There is sufficient seating space inside for a large family if needed; we needed this as there was 9 of us! The barn is a great breakout area with darts and ping pong, along with a comfortable reading space. The pool area is a real bonus, with cover if needed on those hot days when you need a lovely dip. Really relaxing to sit around the pool away from the hustle and bustle and noise of daily life. The house is close enough to everything you need, a perfect get away spot. Thanks to Alan and Ben for an amazing stay and look forward to being back next year.

Summary: A group of us stayed here as a base for cycling in the Pyrenees. Really good access to some of the classic Tour de France cols and amazing traffic free cycling all around the house Really well managed and set up for large groups

Summary: Loved our time, swam everyday, did local walks & just enjoyed family time together. Ben, caretaker, was most helpful informing us of local amenities & was helpful when one of the children was ill. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Summary: We stayed at the house for a week in late July/August. As a family group aged between 2 and 73 there was something for everyone. The house is very well equipped and was a fabulous place to stay. The outside areas are magnificent and we spent most days by the pool, BBQing dinner and sitting outside under the stars until bedtime. We took walks in the local area to a gorge and along the river where the children paddled. We also visited the market in Boulogne sur Gesse. This is a great place as there are so many different areas and things to keep adults and children happy. The barn is cool and the table tennis and darts were very popular. Bikes available was a nice touch. The kitchen has everything any cook could need and more and the teenagers loved having their own space in the annexe. We felt at home here and were welcomed and shown round by Ben who has a wealth of local knowledge.
