As an old cottage probably built in late 19th century, the house needed to be extended and renovated. It is now a comfortable house with central heating, a fireplace and large bay windows looking out on the sea.
Around is an exuberant garden with trees against the winds and storms and all kinds of shrubs. The only house down a short lane from the road, it is quiet and secluded, but not isolated.

Summary: Our family 2 adults and 3 children ages 10, 14 and 15 had a great week at Rosduff. The kids loved it able to swim right outside the house. The local beaches Trà Bui one of them were beautiful.

Summary: Wonderful location, beautiful house with very generous facilities. On the downside significant smell of damp in the two downstairs bedrooms, cooker could do with being updated and ramp at gate is a hazard to car undercarriage.

Summary: A unique house in the heart of Connemara, with great views, close to some of the nicest and most untouched beaches. You will definitely need a car to get around. Roundstone, Clifden and Ballconnelly are all within about 30-40 mins. The local shop is 10k away and perfect for all basics. Coynes Bar and Bistro is a short drive, with really lovely food. The house itself has everything you need, it is quirky and homely with plenty of rooms which is great if you are in a group or with children. Bikes and Kayaks are available to use. Mary, the host on the ground is extremely welcoming and responsive, we had no contact from the owner. Being truly honest the house is in need of a really deep clean, there is a lot of dirt and dust, in, around and under the furniture. The bedroom downstairs next to the kitchen is extremely damp and musty. There were mice spotted in the kitchen on three occasions which was reported and dealt with, and we were assured this was common in the area at the time of year if doors are left open, however this still does not bode well given what we paid for a week here. In spite of this it’s a lovely spot, but a deep clean would make all the difference. (On a separate note: the return of the 500-euro damage deposit did not get returned to our account on the date VRBO specified, in fact it still hasn’t reached our account and we left the property 4 weeks ago, be aware of this)

Summary: We’ve just had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this home full of books and crannies with lots of places to cost up with a book, and a fun cd and board game collection. It’s nicely decorated, but not such that you can’t relax there- quite the opposite. It had everything we needed. The local shop in Kilkieran also did the job. Really enjoyed the many garden spaces, picking the apples and blackberries, and kayaking from the inlet right outside the house. We hope to return...

Summary: We had a lovely family holiday here with a group of adults and teenagers. What a spot! The view is amazing - constantly changing sky and water. The house is set up very well - lots of room, very charming and cosy, several places to sit and read and relax so we all had our own space when needed, especially on the rainy days. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for a large group to sit and eat together. The fireplace was a great asset, even in July with the ever changing Connemara weather. Mary is the local contact and she was very easy to get a hold of when we had any questions. Similarly Nadine and Hugh were very responsive by email. Thanks to all for that. We would all recommend it for a comfortable, relaxing family holiday. It's a bit remote so a car is definitely needed to fully explore the area. But if you like quiet and gorgeous views and nature it's just the ticket.
