Stunning mountain views and gorgeous sunsets accentuate the experience of this recently renovated (2018) two bedroom, two bath chalet. Sleeping 5-6, one doesn't have to leave the comforts of home behind with central air, full kitchen, laundry, queen beds, walk-in closets and master suite, this modest chalet has it all. Whether you are sipping coffee on the front deck in the shadow of Hawksbill and Miller's Head or watching the sunset while enjoying the view of Kennedy Peak from the rear patio, hot tub or ﬁrepit, there is beauty all around for you to experience a peaceful relaxing getaway. Sunset Ridge is 10 minutes from Luray and 15 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance station, making your days activities conveniently close. You are sure to make lasting memories
Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Ridge. The house is exactly as advertised. Comfortable bedrooms, roomy family room/dining/kitchen area, and nice outdoor spaces in the front and back of the house. Communication with Allstar Lodging was great, information about the house was thorough, and the check-in/check-out was a breeze. Highly recommend it!

Summary: My friends and I celebrated a small galentines weekend to relax and reconnect. This property was PERFECT! The views were amazing, the small cabin feel was welcoming and cozy, and the hot tub was an added bonus!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of beds and linens, plus some lovely recommendations for local spots. Cows did in fact come say hi while we were in the hot tub which was awesome and only a little scary haha!

Summary: This cabin is a slice of heaven! My husband and I book our retreat at Sunset Ridge for our honeymoon and needless to say, it did not disappoint. This property is conveniently located within a 15 minute drive to downtown Luray. The owners and All-star Lodging (booked through VRBO) take a lot of pride and care of this property. They have thought of every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The wood and kindling for the fire pit was well stocked and ready to go for cozy autumn nights under the stars. The hot tub has been well taken care of and was a delight after exploring Skyline Drive. We spent many nights stargazing and counting shooting stars. In addition, we really enjoyed cooking out on the grill. Thank goodness they were already prepared with an extra propane tank, detailed instructions were provided on where to find it, because the original propane tank ran out in the middle of cooking! The kitchen, bedrooms, and living area are well appointed with everything you need...towels, linen's, extra pillows, cooking necessities and spices, DVDs, Wii U system, and games upon games! We were so glad we decided to come to the property first to see what essentials we would need because otherwise, we would have purchased many unnecessary items that were already supplied. On top of everything else, this cabin is stunning in both design and because of it's breathtaking location! The indoor fireplace was one of our most favorite features. The only drawback I have, which for us was not even a drawback, was I wish they had a larger sofa for cuddling up and watching movies in the evening next to the fire, but honestly, that would never stop us from returning. The fall foliage was INCREDIBLE! This is exactly what we came for and it was beyond our expectations! I would highly recommend this property to anyone and I can say with certainty, we will be making this cabin a part of our yearly fall vacation! We look forward to celebrating our 1st anniversary at Sunset Ridge next October!
