Summary: Lovely cottage away from it all. We wanted a relaxing break and that’s what we got. We visited the kelpies and Falkirk wheel and popped to friends in Edinburgh. Plenty of fields for our 2 Labradors and a scullery for them to dry off in. We did light the fire in the lounge but not the burner in the kitchen. Did have to turn some heating down as a bit warm for us. Great stay.

Summary: If spotting deer from your bed and squirrels , hares and a wide variety of birdlife appeals for you then this is a cottage you must consider. It is very comfortable and tucked away in the heart of the original estate.. The farmhouse style kitchen is very well equipped and the beds comfortable. We really liked it. There is a price to pay for the solitude and access to nature you will find that the access roads to the cottage are less than ideal for a low slung sports car, but taken carefully, they are not a problem..

Summary: We had a lovely stay at the cottage - the only issue is access by car is stressful! We have a Citreon Berlingo and struggled with the driveways every time, and I’m not convinced our car wasn’t damaged by them. Certain cars wouldn’t manage to get along them at all. Summary: Really good outlook in rural setting, near to good walks and open country. The amenities are good quality, and the cottage had been maintained well, recent decoration and upgrades. The heating system was easy to use, and although we didn't have the log fires going, there is the opportunity to do so. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Just spent a week here over Christmas. A lovely warm cottage with a great log fire, nicely furnished and convenient to get to and from everywhere that we needed to go. Would highly recommend it, but its muddy outside ! Bring wellingtons to get to the wood shed for the fire

Summary: It is an honor to have the opportunity to stay in such an old house. The surrounding parkland, the farms and the local road between the trees make you feel like you were in the past far from any civilization. Factually the cottage is very good located. There are shops in the neighbour city. In Dunfermline there is a hyper too. Curloss is a pretty village with a restored old town that worths to be visited. Old Inzievar is a good starting point to discover sights of Fife; Edinburgh is not far either. So, if you have plans similar like this then look no further. The cottage is very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you may need. Beds are very comfortable. On colder winter days the electrical heating might be insufficient for some. On the other hand there is a wooden fire place that works well and can warm up the living quickly. On the arrival a fantastic home made lemon cake was waiting for us. Tim, the owner is a very nice person. He came over for welcoming, otherwise he let you enjoy your staying with your family.
