Summary: The apartment was located in a quiet suburb of Aix-en- Provence. A bus stop was situated outside the main building with a 15 minute journey to the city center. A bakery, small supermarket and pharmacy was conveniently situated across the road. The apartment was clean and well equipped with facilities. However, the air conditioning was not cool enough for us. We enjoyed our stay in the apartment and the area very much.

Summary: This apartment is located on the far north side of Aix. So getting out of town and onto the highways is relatively quick. There is essential shopping right across the street. Fanny, the owner, helped us deal with imperfect interface between the French site, Abritel, and VRBO and when we arrived she replied quickly to our calls for help. The building is not visible from the street, in fact the entrance is off a different street altogether. That's a problem. Fanny provided directions and photos via e-mail to help us navigate our arrival but still it was difficult. The unit itself offers what we have come to expect: a very low, soft sofa and a few hard metal/wooden chairs. A good bed was a plus.The kitchen is a good example of style preferred over convenience. Directions are via "universal symbols" which we had a hard time deciphering. It would have been very helpful to have a binder as is often provided by VRBO owners to help renters understand what's what. I speak French, that was a plus. The owner uses an on-line translator so some of the messages on line come out a big garbled. This rental was fine for us once we got the hang of things. Be sure to come to France with an open mind...and a very good google map app.

Summary: The apartment was quaint and comfy. It is in a great location if you don't mind walking. There was a bakery and Casino (market) right across the street. There was some confusion as to which unit we were staying in ( probably needs to be clearer check in guidance). But overall it was a nice place and I would stay there again.

Summary: This is one of the nicest flats we've stayed in with VRBO and I'd recommend it strongly. It's in a quiet residential area with easy access to a Casino and a bakery. It is a little way from the centre, as some other comments have pointed out, but we found this to be no problem at all - especially with three buses stopping practically outside the front door. Fanny was absolutely excellent at communication - all messages were responded to within minutes - thanks! A very good overall experience.

Summary: The apartment corresponds to the description and pictures and was well equiped for us. New building (typically sensitive to noise, but quiet neighbours) in the north of Aix, located in a quiet side street. We had a nice, friendly handover. Pleasantly, there is a small shop and bakery opposite, as well as a bus stop. Unfortunately, what was wrong was the location near old town , which was THE decisive booking criterion for us. The apartment was well outside the area („location circle“) indicated by the provider (still well north of the Cezanne studio). Unfortunately, this led to the devaluation. If that doesn't bother you, I recommend the apartment.
