It's here, in the heart of the Midi, that Camping Félix de la Bastide welcomes you to rent mobile homes, lodge tents or pitches spread over 4.5 hectares. Situated on the edge of a lagoon, the campsite is close to two beaches: a small, natural one 30m away, where you can easily go canoeing, kayaking or paddle-boarding, and a second, supervised beach 300m away, where swimming is very pleasant. Here you can swim or practice all kinds of sports (canoes and paddles can be rented at the campsite). You can also take advantage of the Istres and Martigues water sports centers, 5km away, and of course the Côte Bleue with its famous beaches, 20km away. The campsite is also an ideal starting point for all kinds of cultural outings, walks, markets, festivities, etc. in Martigues, Arles, Marseille, the Camargue, Saint Rémy de Provence, etc. The swimming pool and paddling pool with small slides welcome you from May to September. Also at your disposal: an inflatable structure, a playground for children under 9, a ping-pong table, and all the alleys of the campsite for sunny games of pétanque. The beaches of the Côte Bleue are 10 to 30 kilometers away. You can enjoy all kinds of water sports, notably on Massane beach and at the Istres and Martigues water sports centers. In the hills around the campsite or on the GR2013, you can go for long walks or bike rides. Between Saint Mitre and Martigues there's also a large nature park, the Domaine de Figuerolles, with walks, mountain bike trails, tree climbing, horse riding...
The campsite is also an excellent base for visiting the calanques of the Côte Bleue (we recommend taking the little blue train in Martigues), or visiting the Camargue or the Alpilles massif. Last but not least, the region boasts many exceptional sites that bear witness to ancient cultures, such as Roman Arles and Saint Rémy de Provence, medieval Salon and Baux de Provence, Provençal Venice Martigues, Greek Marseille, Phocaean Saint Blaise and Catholic Avignon.
