Summary: Nice property great setting in the Berkshires 3 miles from Tangelwood. One tip park in lions gate parking lot. Easy entry and nice helpful owners. One tip Don’t forget to bring your own keurig coffee No food basics. Otherwise awesome

Summary: The location of this property was fantastic! Close to town and lots of great trails and an amazing sculpture garden. Amici is a dog friendly restaurant right down the road. Unfortunately, there were some things that made the stay less than perfect. The house has great potential, but definitely needs some TLC. Not sure if they hire cleaners or do it themselves, but the bathroom mirror was dirty when we arrived and there were only 2 towels in a basket. I looked in the dryer and there was a load in the dryer. No idea how long they had been there so didn’t touch them. There was also a half empty bottle of water on the dryer. Sounds nit picky, but when I’m paying a lot of money to stay somewhere I expect it to be cleaner than my own house. A few basics are necessary. There is no ice maker and just one 4 cube tray. The dollar store has ice cube trays. Although I understand the need to protect mattresses, it was uncomfortable sleeping on one encased in plastic. Every time my husband or I moved it made a crinkle sound. The television buffered every few minutes when watching live TV. We only used one bedroom, but looked at the other rooms when deciding where to sleep. They are very sparse and not “homey”. No comforters just blankets partially tucked in. The only television is the one in the living room. The kitchen does not have much to offer and one of the cabinet doors is off. There is a mildew smell in the bathroom which someone else reported in a review. I inquired and was told there was not, and that the first reviewer was mistaken. Perhaps the owner is just accustomed to the smell so doesn’t notice anymore. The owner was responsive to messages.

Summary: Kari was exceptional in responding back. When we first got there, there was an issue with the toilet. Thankfully, one of our friends is a contractor so he was able to temporarily fix it. Kari said that she will have it looked at. The pool was super clean and refreshing. There were only 2 silverware forks in the silverware drawer so I would suggest purchasing a set unless we just couldn't find it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and very convenient to downtown and Tanglewood.

Summary: The home and neighborhood were wonderful. The proximity to town was great and we enjoyed the evening sitting on the patio. My only complaint was the kitchen was not very clean. The sink, hood vent and dishwasher all needed immediate attention. When I was checking out I told our host about it and he said he'd follow up today. So I hope the next folks have a nice, clean kitchen!

Summary: This cottage was very conveniently located to all the Berkshires activities we had planned. The cottage is very attractive and the ground and pool are lovely. We did have occasion to communicate with and see the owner to address some issues and he was very attentive. He was also very open to feedback and to make the cottage the best rental it could be. I didn't realize from the photos that the AC is in only two rooms (living room and one of the upstairs bedrooms.). However, the evenings were so cool that the AC was not needed. I did learn that the units can be moved between rooms if needed.) It was great that the cottage was pet friendly, allowing us to have our pets with us on vacation! If I needed to stay in the Lenox area again, I'd stay at the cottage once again.

Summary: I really hate writing this review because I know we were there first guest and the owners want to fix the main issues: 1. The couch was incredibly uncomfortable, they did say they are replacing it. It was also the only thing to sit on in the living room, which was clear in the pictures. 2. The bathroom had a very heavy mold/mildew smell. Quite bad. 3. The great things were the nice restaurants in town and it is very close to Tanglewood.
