Welcome to Sherrill's Seaside Cottage!
This classic Maine cottage is perched high on the island offering elevated views of Mackerel Cove. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the covered porch or patio. There is a right-of-way path to Little Harbor a short walk down the quiet dead-end road.
The cottage offers a very well-equipped kitchen suited to allow you to make all the meals you may want. Access to a small sitting room complete with a small TV is off the kitchen area and also has access to the downstairs bathroom with a wonderful clawfoot soaking tub. There is also a washer and dryer in the lounge area. Off of the bright sitting area is an outdoor patio perfect to sit and enjoy the views. Explore the house a little more and find a great dining area with views of the cove and a cozy living room complete with a sofa and chairs. Make your way upstairs and find the three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The first of the bedrooms straight to the top right of the stairs is a queen size bed complete with ocean views. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and bedroom 3 has a trundle bed perfect for kids as well as a quaint little window bench you can sit and read at. There is also a full bath on the upper level with a stand-up shower and a separate half bath as well. *The fireplace is not for renter use.

Summary: Bailey island was perfectly quaint. If you’re looking for something a bit off the beaten path, this house is perfect! Being October, the few restaurants in the area had more limited days/hours, but there are options if you plan accordingly. This was our first time in Maine and being able to sit on the porch and overlook the water and the boats was great. The house was well stocked and dog friendly.
