This cosy holiday retreat has its own large enclosed garden and it boasts glorious views over Ben Lawers and Schiehallion.. Set amidst glorious Highland scenery, with views over Ben Lawers and Schiehallion, this cottage has been converted from a single-storey barn and is equipped to the highest standard. A cosy holiday retreat, it is set with its own large enclosed garden up a private drive with a farm on one side, just 3 miles from Menzies Castle (open Easter – Oct). The nearby Kenmore Water Sports Centre on Loch Tay (2½ miles) offers water sports and fishing. Golf 2½ miles. Aberfeldy 5 miles. Lovely walks close by. Several pubs and restaurants within a 5 mile radius (nearest 3 miles). Shop 2½ miles.. 3 steps to entrance.

Summary: A most enjoyable stay at this holiday home. Helped by the four days of glorious weather, so we were able to sit out and enjoy the garden. My mother struggled with the steps to the kitchen and to the bedroom(s) as she walks with a frame so we had to help her each time. So although it looks like a bungalow it’s not really. We felt a couple of items now need upgrading - the garden furniture (very heavy to manoeuvre) and the shower cubicle. Also, it wouldn’t cost much to have broadband installed and would be an asset. The kitchen is very well stocked with good utensils and very nice crockery. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but there were a few minor niggles.

Summary: An excellent place for exploring rural Perth-shire. The only things missing were a dish washer and wifi (you may get a phone signal depending on the network you are on) but these were not a problem for us and it was good for the kids to get a break from their smartphones. Summary: A comfortable clean cottage with plenty of equipment in the kitchen (a dishwasher would be lovely). Bedrooms of a good size with comfortable beds. Showers a little slow. Books and family games available for colder days. Gardens are well tended but not secure for visiting dogs who can roam down to the road if not kept on lead.

Summary: Most enjoyable time. Facilities are adequate though the beds are a little short for taller people. Very clean, nice and warm and very comfortable. Outside gravel could do with some moss killer and a good raking as outside is quite slippery and mucky when wet. No dishwasher so clearing up after dinner a little more onerous than usual. Overall would recommend the cottage and we have already booked again!
