Drop your Anchor & stay in this freshly updated, water-front, 3 bedroom home in the "Bass Capital" of the USA. Enjoy all the natural beauty of the St Johns River, 2 Springs/State Parks and views of the Ocala National forest and of course, great fishing! Located between Welaka and Georgetown on the St Johns River
The space
Home features 3 rooms; 2 with king beds, (1 room has a desk in case this is a working vacation for you!) & 1 room with a 1 queen bed), 2 full bathrooms, 2 screened-in porches, (the front porch overlooks a horse farm and the back porch overlooks the canal), a large outdoor pavered area with fire pit, a boat dock with 2 covered-slips available & enough parking for 3 boats, a large fenced backyard, plenty of on-site parking for vehicles and boat trailers, a fully stocked kitchen & laundry room. WIFI is available, Smart TV enabled for streaming.
Pets are welcome with a $25 per day/per pet non-refundable pet-fee and we do ask that you keep pets off the furniture.
If you want to prepare & cook meals, we suggest you bring food with you as the nearest grocery store is about 30 mins away. There is a Dollar General nearby that carries some basic groceries to get you by if needed or if you forgot something. There are also several great restaurants near by if you prefer to dine out or order delivery.
A private boat ramp at the end of the street is suitable for boats under 20' or there is a larger boat ramp nearby at Renegades on the River for a small fee.
Stay & enjoy all the local area has to offer, visit Historic St Augustine which is an hour's drive North-east or visit beautiful Deland FL which is an hour in the other direction.
No matter what you choose, you won't be ready to sail away at the end!

Summary: This was our second time at Anchor House and it really is a fantastic place. Being right on the water makes it easy to take the boat out or just fish right off the dock. Super clean and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway.

Summary: This home is just as described! We loved fishing right off the dock in the back yard. It was the perfect place for evening relaxing. We had our dinners on the back screened in porch overlooking the canal. We even had a hummingbird visit us. The beds were so comfortable, it was hard to get out of it to do some early morning fishing. Would definitely come back again!

Summary: Our second time staying at the Anchor house. We love it!! We bring two boats. The boat slips are nice. And the fish cleaning station is perfect. The beds sleep good and the screened in back porch is where we hang out. Plenty of room for two trucks and boat trailers. Its the best place fir fishing and relaxing.

Summary: Location was perfect, the house was perfect for 6 adults and kids. Access to the water was my favorite about the house. We used the location and house for the easy access to the water for fishing. We will be back on a future date!
