Sitting on half-acre, 3,000 sqft custom Prairie-inspired Home with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, open-floor concept kitchen, dining room for 8 people, and separate living and family rooms, both with 55" TV, and large outdoor space with patio seating and basketball court. Custom winding iron staircase for that memorable family picture.
Master bedroom - King bed, Pack 'n Play, huge walk-in closet (can also fit a queen-size air mattress & has pocket door to separate master bedroom), 55" TV, and private balcony.
Bedroom 2 - King bed, desk with 2 Herman Miller chairs, large closet.
Bedroom 3 - King bed, access to outside deck, 2 closets.
Bedroom 4 - 1 Queen bed, 1 Full bed, large closet.
3 air mattresses (living room, family room, master bedroom)
Living Room - 4-seater oversized recliners. 55" TV
Basement Family Room - sectional for 6, 55" TV, sound bar speaker, shuffleboard, 4-seat table, and 2nd refrigerator.
Bathroom upstairs - jet-tub & shower combo w/ double vanity sinks.
Bathroom downstairs - low-profile tub & shower combo perfect for children.
Bathroom basement - half bath.
Laundry Room - washer & dryer, including detergent. Steamer, iron, and iron board.
Outdoor table seating for 10 (additional chairs included).
Grill - Kitchenaid 4-burner gas grill.
Basketball Court - Private lighted basketball court on property only available for our Airbnb guests with outdoor seating sofa.
Cable available. The TVs can stream Hulu, Netflix, etc.
Close to I-294, I-55.~30 mins away from Chicago & O'Hare Airport. ~20 mins from Midway Airport.
Bike-ride away from Cook County’s best forest preserves w/ bike, walking, and horse trails.
Parking - on property, can fit approx. 6 cars comfortably. Street parking is available but overnight street parking is not permitted, please make sure you are on our property.
Within just a few blocks, access to I-294, I-55, and historic Route 66.
Uber/Lyft to city ~$15-35, depending on surcharge.

Entire home is sprayed with Lysol before and after your stay.
We provide plenty of amenities for the entire duration of your stay and will replenish when requested. No matter how short or long of stay, we will provide ample of the following complimentary items:

Summary: With three couples and one single adult all attending a family wedding on the south side of Chicago, this 4bed, 2.5 bath house worked out fairly well. The location had easy access to major freeways, a nice neighborhood to walk around and plenty of parking. Three bedrooms upstairs share a fairly large bathroom which includes a shower over a jetted tub, which can get slippery/difficult to get in and out. We noted many small black dots (mold/mildew?) on the ceiling of this bathroom. Also, a sink stopper in one of these sinks is inoperable. Main level bathroom shower over tub is easier to get in/out of, but is fairly small with a single sink/vanity. The powder room in the basement had no windows and the exhaust fan was broken. I reported this (among other things) and the host replied that they would stop by to take a look, but did not, citing they had a family emergency. Dishwasher leaks as the door does not properly seal. While the large deck in the back yard is nicely shaded and expansive, there are two steps down that are well camouflaged. One of our party, recently recovering from knee surgery nearly missed those steps! A couple of safety strips can easily remedy that issue. The basketball court in the back yard was a pleasant diversion. Grass is nicely mowed, but weeds and shrubbery obscure the front walkway. Finally, the carpets in the basement and on the stairs need a good deep cleaning and some walls could use a coat of paint. Lots of dings from backs of dining chairs.

Summary: It worked out great. Nice big deck with table, chairs, and grill. Yard was big we played wiffleball. Kitchen qaqas well equipped we cooked there quite a bit and had everything we needed. Plenty of room to spread out or spend time together. Not too far from the Brookfield Zoo and the Navy Pier.

Summary: This home is unique, clean, and not too far from the city but far enough to feel safe and homey. There was a basketball court, outdoor space, and shuffleboard to keep kids engaged. We will be staying again if we ever do a Chicago vacation again. Loved it!
