Summary: The house was fine, and loved the welcome book. Unfortunately, it's also up an 8 mile unpaved, gravel road. Unless you're in an SUV, don't do it. Also, the driving directions provided by the property were incorrect. The bridge washed out 2+ years ago, so I'm not sure why we were told to use a non existent bridge. The property is a good 30-40 minutes away from either town for dinner....up and down that gravel switchback road, where 15mph is a top speed. But other than that... a pretty view

Summary: The home is well off the beaten path on a Forest Service road. It is private and secluded, without a neighbor n sight of the property. The views from the house and porch are absolutely amazing. It takes about 20 minutes to drive up from Route 89, and is well worth it. At the base of the mountain on 89 is the Yellowstone River, where we met our guide for a fantastic fly fishing float. The park is a short drive away also. We also took time to explore the various service roads into the Gallatin Nat'l Forest, where we even saw a pair of Grizzly Bears (the host provided bear spray) in a field. The wild life, scenery, and the house itself was amazing. There were also three horses on the property that would venture right by the porch each morning. We could not be happier with our stay!

Summary: We much enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the elk meander up in the mountains. It would have been nice to have a heads-up notification that the bridge was out on the road that we needed to go down off the highway. We arrived close to dark and getting to the ranch is not easy, but having to figure out how to navigate the closed road made it more difficult.

Summary: Home was very well stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, and paper products. Very clean on arrival. Easy check in. Very private location. Owner was easily available for any needs. The only negative was the drive up the mountain to get there.

Summary: This property is off the beaten path BUT it is worth every single second (15-20 minutes due to a bridge washed out secondary to a recent flood). We arrived after dark so we could not see the beauty until the next morning. When we walked up the stairs, there is a huge window that revealed the beautiful views this property. It was entertaining to watch each member of our group gasp as the views came into sight. No picture can do the beauty and vastness of the views any justice. The property was very clean and well maintained, kitchen well stocked, owner more than willing to answer questions and suggest things to do, everything was as described. Our group consisted of my husband and I (ages 53 and 59) and our 2 children with their significant other (ages 21-24). The home was very comfortable and plenty roomy for our group. Being from the south, I was quite concerned about no a/c because we visited mid-June. However, we had no problems and actually became cool some evenings with windows open and the properties strong ceiling fans. We had no trouble with cell service although none of us felt the need to be on our phones with beauty that surrounded us. Our trip to Montana and the beautiful property was even more than we were all expecting!
