Positive: Pretty old mansion. Trolley tour’s available onsite. Pretty garden
Negative: Lighting is too dim in the evenings inside the mansion . Can’t see for walking around or to even enjoy the parlor area. Should be called an Air B&B instead of a Bed and Breakfast. No breakfast on site, just coffee/tea. Did not like having to use a meal voucher that was provided for the breakfast to use at a downtown diner connected to a Cabaret. Super loud. No where to park that didn’t cost$. Didn’t get a restful sleep. The bed squeaked with every movement , mattress not great and the bottom sheet kept coming off when we slept.
Summary: Liked the Minneapolis trolley tour. Wasn’t thrilled with the ghost tour. Didn’t like having to get off the trolley and g

Negative: It was too dark at night. I couldn’t get my key in the lock. They’re needed to have been a nightlight. There were two desk in my room of which neither were needed. One took up 90% of the closet and the other one just took up space. It needed a chest of drawers to put my clothes and I needed the closet space. .There were no hooks to hang your wet towel or to put a robe or hang anything. There were no mirrors in the room. There were no hooks or places to put any of your things when you went into the shared bathroom; like a place to hang your doo kit or to hang your towel or clothes. They need a rug to put down when you got out of the shower.. The owners need to be guest in their own rooms for a night and they would see everyone of these little things that really do matter and make it convenient. I was offered to purchase a $15 voucher worth $20 of food at a restaurant that I’ve never heard of so I took their recommendation and made the purchase. It was a dive. I took about three bites and left.. and it wasn’t in an area that I enjoyed being around. Not the type of place I would think the guest that come to this B&B would appreciate..
Summary: It would not take much for this to be a nice place, but it does need attention

Positive: The house was absolutely beautiful. It is really elegant, but was set up to be very cozy for guests. The staff were extremely warm and helpful throughout my stay. It was a great way to relax for a solo staycation in Minneapolis. I would highly recommend a stay here.
Negative: It would have been nice to have a breakfast option on site. Also the door to the room required me to slam it shut super loudly each time in order for it to properly close.

Positive: I liked that there was tea or coffee anytime. The building was beautiful. The shared bathroom was huge with an old clawfoot tub. I'd prefer to share the bathroom over having a little mini bathroom. I didn't have time to appreciate the grounds other than through the window. The huge porch was lovely in the rain, but it was a bit cold outside to really make use of it. The old steam radiators were a big noisy but excellent for drying any clothes or towels.
Summary: I got to stay in a mansion for a bargain!
