2 Bedroom Cottage in Orivesi
This lovely and very silent private island is just perfect place for people and pets to calm down and find yourself in middle of the nature. In this island there is no other cottages, just yours. The lake Niemijärvi is located in central Finland and the wild nature around is privately owned. There is plenty of possibilities to experience Finnish forests, mushrooms, berries and wildlife.
The cottage is with 2 bedrooms, balcony and living room with kitchen. Lights and refrigerator is powered by solar panels.
Sauna is traditional Finnish wood burning and nice "löyly" (mild steam) place where you may relax and warm yourself up if you like swimming in lake.
The lake is dark watered, good to swim and to fish. If you like swimming, we have put a little sand to the bottom of the lake in front of the sauna. Otherwise we have tried to preserve the nature as it is so beautiful as it is.
To get to the island we have 2 rowing boats for your use, the parking place is suitable for 2 cars, from the parking place there is 400m to row. We can also provide electric motor for your use if you prefer that.
Before booking, I recommend you to consider if you are really ready for this experience. Equipment you need at your stay will be at miminum rubber boots and rain clothing, camping -like food because the fridge is small, just meant for milk and very small amount of fresh food. Also a little experience about using rowing boat is recommended.
