Positive: Decent comfortable unit. Marginally equipped kitchen. Nice forest view but not the spectacular views from the other side of the building
Negative: Privately owned suite in huge lodge operated by major hotel group. Hotel does not accept responsibility for problems or allow access to some facilities. We had no hot water for most of our 2 night stay. Owner offered only minimal compensation.

Positive: gorgeous setting, great restaurants, good hiking
Negative: We love Suncadia and have stayed at the Lodge several times since it's opening. Unfortunately, we were very unhappy with the woman at reception, Avah. We arrived well before check-in, knowing we would likely have to wait for the room to be ready and were told that they would notify housekeeping that we had arrived. The room wasn't ready when we checked back a few hours later. She asked for our phone number, and stated that she would let us know when our room was ready. The receptionist whispered that the room was ready. We left, came back at 3:50pm and Avah told us that check in time is 4pm and we would have to wait. The room was ready. A different receptionist standing nearby offered to ask someone in the back if it would be ok to check us in 10 minutes before 4pm. She came back and reported that we could in fact check in 10 minutes before 4pm. In all of the extensive travel I have done around the world, NEVER been told I couldn't check in 10 minutes early. I do no hold this against the owner, of course. I am very disappointed with customer service at Suncadia lodge.

Negative: The fridge had some really loud alarm that went off in the middle of the night and woke us up. In the morning the fridge had leaked all over the floor. It smelled like old fish.
