4 Bedroom House in Dauphin Island

New owners in 2022! If you have dates that are less than 7 days, please contact us and we will try to accommodate the dates.
Our 4 BR/3BA 1400-square foot open floor plan one-floor home is on the west end of Dauphin Island with a well-equipped kitchen, new furniture, and amazing views of both the Bay and Gulf. We can accommodate 8 Adults if someone sleeps on the pullout couch (no Adult on the top bunk). We just added a Master Bath in March 2023. Included is Xfinity’s highest speed internet WiFi for streaming (or work…). New washer/dryer. Great room has large flat screen with blu-ray/DVD player, and hook-up for your own media (Roku, Firestick, laptop, etc). Gas grill out back with outdoor table/chairs and a lower deck with picnic table and more chairs.
On a half-acre, our home has its own sandy beach front perfect for playing or sunning, and a pier/dock where you can fish, swim, crab, or just chill. Bring your boat or wave runners! We have a lift on our pier, too. For those who haven’t visited Dauphin Island before, the Bay side water is calmer and safer for families with younger children and our pier has a swim-up ladder at the end, but if you want the waves, you have private Gulf access right across the street! Use our beach wagon to pull your cooler and gear, or just drive over. We also provide three FREE kayaks and paddles for your use (2 singles and a tandem). We have a beach tent, coolers, beach towels, and chairs. Very relaxing to get out on the water on the Bay side. We’ve also accumulated a bunch of beach toys – buckets, boogie boards, etc, for your use. A couple fishing poles and crab traps, too. Completely loaded for a great day at the beach.
Master bedroom has a King bed, Master Bath, and private sitting area. Second bedroom has a Queen, third has two twins, and fourth has a bunkbed (no adults on top bunk). There is a sleeper sofa with an upgraded mattress that is actually comfortable. We provide linens for every reservation, including Fresh comforters (from our years of renting, we’ve found out that not many rental properties do).
And don’t forget Puppers!!! We are dog friendly!
Dauphin Island has so much to offer: great restaurants, beautiful beaches, the Isle Dauphine Golf Club, a small aircraft airport, and an Audubon Bird Sanctuary that has a 2.5-mile trail that empties out onto a beautiful beach where you won’t find a lot of people. You can also visit historic Fort Gaines on the island. There is a ferry that travels between Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores if you’re wanting to explore. If you’re an avid golfer, the Robert Trent Jones Trail begins about 30-minutes away in Mobile. And the USS Alabama is docked in Mobile Bay if you want to tour.
There is a dog fee and security deposit. Additional dogs are $15/night.
If there are any special requests, just ask us. A discount may be applied for stays of 28 days or longer during non-peak season.

Summary: The house was perfect! We had our own beach on bar side perfect for swimming, kayaking, and shell searching. With my wife, myself and our two adult daughters, the 3 separate baths were great. It was a minimal walk to the gulf side beach when we went for the waves. The deck off of the living room was great for having morning coffee, playing games, grilling, and eating. The ceiling fan made the warm temps feel fine. The owners were very helpful with questions and their book of information was terrific. Our pups enjoyed it as well. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Summary: We usually book the same condo in Gulf Shores for spring break, but this time we needed to travel with our dog and wanted to invite the grandparents. The house was perfect! We loved having the dock on the sound as well as a four minute walk to the Gulf beach access. We didn’t bother with getting a free parking pass for it. We took full advantage of everything our hosts provided—fishing, kayaks, fishing from kayaks, crab traps (my dad was most excited about that prospect, but we only caught hermit crabs, lol. ). All we brought for the beach was our umbrella and swimsuits! There were plenty of beach towels and chairs. It definitely saved us room in the car for the dog and all of his stuff. The house is stocked with all sorts of movies (be sure to check the black cases in the cabinet). “Jaws” was the perfect movie for our arrival night. The house was very comfortable, we all slept so well and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a hand mixer to make frosting for a cake my mom baked at home. The day before we left we discovered it even had cake pans, so she could have baked it there. I really appreciated that it is not on the main island road, so there was no traffic out front. Thanks for being such welcoming and generous hosts. I would definitely love to plan a return trip!

Summary: Really well appointed and clean cottage perfect for two couples or a couple of families with small children. Great location with access to both the bayside and gulf side. Due to predominant north wind we spent most of our time on the gulf side...even managed to catch some keeper size whiting and one nice keeper redfish. Pete, the host, was very responsive and checking into and out of the cottage was very easy.

Summary: This was our first time in Dauphin Island and we loved it. The house was beautiful. It had the most equipped kitchen we've ever had. The veiws were perfect, the house was perfect. It was an excellent beach getaway.

Summary: We absolutely loved this beach house! It lacked nothing. The house is so well-appointed and comfortable! I fixed breakfast every morning and we ate on the large back porch. We took a short walk to the beach each day and I mean short. Took less than 5 minutes. This host has a large beach wagon to haul chairs and towels, and chairs and towels were provided! Saved us so much space in our car. My husband spent several days fishing from the dock with the provided gear! He loves to fish and it was nice to see him so relaxed and in his element! His final cast of the week brought in a 15” black tip shark! On our last day, the ocean was way too rough so we swam in the sound and had a blast! We are expecting our first grandchild and the sound is perfect for little ones! The hosts are super friendly and responsive!! They are absolutely 5 star hosts! If you are looking for a home to completely unplug and recharge, this is it!!
