Summary: We had an awesome stay at this "cabin." Dog friendly. Amazing view. Great hot tub. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you need during your stay. The house itself is very nice and very clean. Comfy beds. Easy check in and check out. The house is located at the end of a very steep and rough road, so it does take about 10 mins to get there from the main highway. The post is accurate about needing 4WD. The neighborhood was quiet with what few neighbors were around. I was a bit unsettled by the mountain lion warnings that were posted (mostly because we had our dog with so we needed to take her out for short walks in the mornings and evenings), but we never did see one and bear spray is provided in the house as well which we thought was a nice touch. Overall great stay, highly recommend.

Summary: Everything was just as advertised, and the house/view was spectacular. We so enjoyed watching the sunset and enjoying the hot tub. One thing, it would have been nice if we could drive down the stairs instead of carrying everything down from the cul-de-sac. We look forward to booking this place again soon. Thank you.

Summary: The location is lovely, even from someone who lives nearby and enjoys the mountains daily, it was quite beautiful. Additionally, I’ve had wonderful experiences with SkyRun in different areas (book directly and NOT through Vrbo). This particular property needs some deeper cleaning and overall tending to. Some of the bedding, decorative pillows, and a rug had crusty stains; the couch had crumbs and dust and clearly never gets vacuumed, under the couch was disgusting; and the hot tub is in desperate need of a FULL cleaning (hot tub was primary reason for the stay, so that was quite disappointing). Overall though, I would still recommend the location and SkyRun in general. Regarding VRBO: I booked this property when my original property was canceled on me. VRBO offered a stipend to find similar accommodations and after a month I’m STILL fighting for that refund. I will NEVER use Vrbo again. Their customer service is fragmented and you cannot actually speak to anyone on the “guarantee department”. I’ve had to run my story through every new person when I call basic customer service and *hope to get a call back. Then IF a call back is made, let’s hope you’re able to answer because they will not give you a call back number. If a call back is made, they still can’t help because they’re not part of the “guarantee team”, thick apparently doesn’t have access to a phone. Then they’d like you to send your entire bank statement, as though they can’t see the transaction on their end!

Summary: Our family escaped the heat to the mountains and stayed in the Cabin in the Clouds. I loved how the house is on the end of the street so there isn’t traffic noise, and the view from the back deck is gorgeous and peaceful. In the middle of the night, the Star gazing is AMAZING! The beds were so-so but I’m pretty picky with beds and can’t reduce the rating because of my pickiness. My only real complaint was the number of flies in the house. I know it’s nature and summer, but everywhere else we visited while in the mountains had close to no flies. I’d recommend some creative fly traps so they stop reproducing. Otherwise, we’d likely stay here again if we come back to town!
