Bella Vista is located on five-acres of equestrian property across from boutique vineyards yet close enough to the city to enjoy the best of both worlds. Nestled amongst large estate homes, you will find serenity in this 4000 sq ft vacation home with 6-bedrooms 4.5-baths, with two full kitchens and living areas located near the top of Parrett Mountain. It is a perfect place to call home away from home.
The Location: This vacation home has amazing views and a private location yet it is conveniently located 30 minutes south of downtown Portland and 15 minutes north of the heart of the Willamette Valley Wine Country, Dundee. This private estate home is situated in an exclusive area with magnificent views but only 10 minutes from a large grocery store and Costco. This up-scale vacation home is ideal for attending equestrian events and wine country events or for exploring other area attractions including Mount Hood, the Beautiful Oregon Coast, and the famous Multnomah Falls.
The Property: This equestrian property is recently updated with beautiful amenities including slab granite and custom furnishings. The home is perfect for family and multi-family vacations, corporate retreats, small weddings, family reunions, and other special occasions. Upon arriving you are welcomed by the stunning views, in which to enjoy the fresh clean air and serenity of the area.
The Home: Bella Vista boasts in comfort. The main area is central for gathering the group or super relaxing to dive into a good book. The main attraction is the deck which over looks the riding arena and serene views including two vineyards and a pond. Every room has a view! Up a short flight of stairs you will find the master with a memory foam King bed with a large tile shower, the second bedroom is also a memory foam Queen bed, and the third bedroom upstairs has two twin beds. Also located on this level is another beautifully remodeled full bathroom with a nice tub for soaking. At the far end of the home is yet another memory foam Queen bedroom and full bathroom overlooking the garden area.
INCLUDES GUEST QUARTERS
Guest Quarters: Very chic and fully furnished attached 2 bedroom guest unit. A true delight only available to Bella Vista main house guests. This space has big picture windows, a fully equipped kitchen and with a comfy living area. Both beds are memory foam; one king size and one queen. This space makes the entire house a 6 bedroom and 4.5 bathroom with two kitchens and two living spaces, simply a great addition for a large group.
The Amenities: Hiking trails out the back door, more hiking nearby and bring your bikes for your touring pleasure. We can arrange for private wine tours, a chef to cook your meals and make all your restaurant reservations. We have beautiful stables for you to view the horses.

Summary: We loved our time here, the house was perfect for my family. Barbara was always there to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The property was in immaculate condition upon our arrival. Over the course of 7 days, there were a maximum of 15 family members. The property, made up of the main house of 4 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths and a separate, but attached, 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment offered plenty of space to mingle, mix, congregate and sleep comfortably. Between the main house and the apartment, there were two kitchens in which to either prepare meals or store perishable food, since we ate in all meals, except for the last night. The back patio had plenty of chairs and tables to sit outside in the evening and drink the awesome Willamette Valley wines. The main dining room table only had seating for eight, so we did have to split up during meals. I’m not going to take away any stars because the property owner is aware that the hot water heaters are not adequate for a house of this size, especially when there are 15 people in attendance. She states this up front and recommends alternating showers and running the dishwasher/washing machine either early morning or late at night. Between the horses, feeding the chickens, the nearby wineries and good restaurants, this is an ideal location and property for a family vacation. Thank you, Barbara!

Summary: Six golfers shared the house for a week. Great central location for many very fine golf courses. House was very well appointed. The back deck had a wonderful view and was the perfect place for a morning read or our group breakfasts and dinners. Barbara was great to work with. We all will be recommending the house for either golf or vine touring.

Summary: We had such a good time at Far West. Barbara was an excellent host, making sure we knew about all the little quirks and details of the house and providing us with lists of grocery stores, wineries, etc. The house was beautiful inside and out and every little detail had been thought of - from wood for the fire pit to a well stocked kitchen.

Summary: Let me begin with saying the photos do not do this property and home justice. What a delightful home with a unique layout and unexpected space! There is a downstairs living area with its own kitchen and living area. The home is well stocked and super comfortable. We were a group of six friends and had the best time just hanging out around the kitchen bar and in the living room. However, it’s the location of the property that really puts it over the top! Just walking around the grounds and taking in the views…simply breathtaking! We opted for a company to transport us for wine tasting which was the right decision. The wineries are not super close but not terribly far either. Barbara, the owner, was very generous with allowing us to explore the space and fun to be around. We would return to this location again!

Summary: A group of 7 long standing girlfriends needed a special place to relax and celebrate 2 among us joining the ranks of retired folks. (We’re not the sort to sit home in our rocking chairs just yet) we didn’t feel like driving too far for the get together so we decided to look close to home. 30 minutes from Clackamas, there’s a spot in Sherwood that fit all of our requirements. We picked Bella Vista as our special home away from home and it did not disappoint! It’s a beautiful house, very well maintained and welcoming. Everything was spotless upon arrival. The main kitchen has pretty much everything you need including the perfect stemless wineglasses. There’s actually another fully equipped smaller kitchen as well in the attached apartment/potentially separate living space a few steps down from the upstairs kitchen. Between the two kitchen and the extra refrigerator, there’s ample space for all of your provisions. The beds are plentiful, and there’s really not a bad one among them. I typically don’t sleep all that well when I’m away but my bed was insanely comfortable and the sheets were really nice heavy cotton so I felt right at home. Each room has bathrobes provided. The products in the bathroom were all lovely as well, nothing too heavily scented. When we weren’t cooking or playing games, we were outside around the fire pit. Wood is provided, you’ll just have to decide log cabin, or teepee? The grounds are a beautiful horse property. We took a walk through the barn and met the horses and a very spry elderly pony. The folks who were on site from the neighborhood were very sweet and offered to help us with anything we might need. Barbara Livingston the Host was amazingly helpful, providing us with the name of a chef, suggestions for local eateries, and answering any questions or concerns we had immediately by text as needed. We’re already trying to come up with an excuse to go back!
