5 Bedroom House in Melrose

5-bedroom, 2 full bath house, 7 mi to Boston/airport, 1000 FT to bus and train and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Luxury appointments, upscale furniture, hotel bedding, "5-star kitchen" per a famous chef who stayed, AC/heat (mini-splits) in all rooms, fenced in yard, and 3-car driveway.
The City of Melrose was the #1 real estate market in the U.S. in 2015 and #4 in 2020 (search "hottest zip code melrose ma 2015"). It receives praise from visitors due to its quaint downtown within walking distance, restaurants and a Whole Foods supermarket.
*1st Floor: Large, open-concept, "5-star kitchen," (includes paper towel roll, dish cloths, new sponge and food staples, e.g. cooking oil, spices, sugar, coffee, etc.); dining room; full bath; and foyer. Large 20x20 deck off of the kitchen with gas grill.
*2nd Floor: 4 bedrooms (3 queen beds, 1 full), washer & dryer, and full bath.
*3rd Floor: Finished attic bedroom with queen bed.
*Basement: Large finished room.
2 Pack 'n Play, 2 high chairs, baby gate and stroller
The driveway holds 3 cars, but the 3rd spot is tight. There is no on-street parking overnight.
Check in is 3:30 pm or later and check out is by 11 am, but I can accommodate early arrivals or late departures depending on other guests' timing. Please contact me to coordinate about 2 weeks prior.
Please tell me about your group, pets and the reason you're visiting when inquiring or booking. Someone in the group must be at least 35-years old, but I make exceptions. Parties will result in immediate eviction, no refund for the remaining days, and a charge for any cleaning beyond the normal cleaning fee.
Boston Marathon guests must arrive on at least the Friday of the weekend prior.

Summary: Greg's house was the perfect place for our two families. We had enough space to spread out and also hang out together. The house was clean, cozy, located in a great neighborhood, had everything we needed, and was even nicely decorated for the holidays! It was very easy to communicate with Greg, and he even came to make sure the snow was shoveled in front of the house. Thank you for providing a place for us to spend time with our friends.

Summary: Our group of 8 were visiting for a wedding. The home was spacious and we did not feel we were not on top of each other when we were at the house. We were close to the train to get to Boston. The deck was a great place to sit and catch up. Communication with the owner was awesome. He was very responsive and helpful. The owner is willing to work with guest with checking in and out! The drive way is tight, however we were able to fit 3 vehicles. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Highly recommended Turners Seafood, get the stuff shrimp!! The home was clean. The house is well stocked for cooking( even though we did not cook). The beds were comfy for our stay. The 3rd floor bedroom is a climb but we made the youngs one take that one!! The upstairs shower water does not get that hot, it is luke warm. The downstairs shower is super hot! Both had great water pressure. The living room couch is big enough for all of to sit comfortably to watch some football!

Summary: We stayed three nights while visiting Boston for a portion of our family vacation. Greg is super communicative and easy to reach if needed. The property was very clean and had everything we need. We are a fairly picky group as some of us own rental properties and we have a chef in our group. While we didn’t do any cooking, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed the walkability of the neighborhood and walked to dinner and the waterfall nearby. Super comfy beds and elevated soaps/shampoos are a nice touch!

Summary: The house is very large and comfortable. It was hot out so the house was nice and kool. We will definitely book this house again when we go up to see our daughter and her family whom live in Melrose.

Summary: Great house and location in Melrose, appropriate for family group. Property is as described and appliances that we used worked fine (with exception of garbage disposal); a new dishwasher was delivered to the property on our last morning there so it seems like next group will have a new one! Host is very involved and clearly cares about property; he texted with both information and instructions about the house and came to mow lawn, weed/water garden while we were there.
