Summary: Property was perfect to hold our family convenient to campus, spacious, friendly staff and less hectic than a hotel. Well worth the cost!

Summary: Here is my list of pros and cons: Pros: Easy to get to Friendly management is on site Very spacious plenty of room Good lay out for large groups Super nice and helpful management KOA store conveniently next door Well stocked kitchen Plenty of nice towels, linens, and toilet paper. Comfortable beds, seemed newer. Fun little play grounds (2) with a zip line for the littles. And plenty of running space. Cons Cleaning crew could have done a better job and seemed to have completely missed one of the bathrooms But was addressed immediately by management upon arrival Fridge doesn’t have ice maker or ice trays. You have to by ice at their store. Washing machine wouldn’t spin out our clothes. We unfortunately found this out at 9:30 at night needing our clothes the next morning. There is a nice little 24 hour laundry facility behind the store next door but it didn’t have a changer and we didn’t have enough change to do them. When informed the next day, manager was very apologetic and gave us enough change to use their laundry for the next time. Things that can’t be helped: It is a manufactured home and with that comes thin walls. Although being comfortable inside you can hear everything that goes on outside. The location is close (but not next to) a major highway and an extremely well used train track. So there is constant noise from both. All in all it was a good experience. It’s not anything fancy but it checked all of our boxes. Management made all the difference.

Summary: House was clean, spacious and we had everything needed to make a great weekend with family. Hosts were so helpful and accommodating. This house is in a great location and our grandkids had a blast doing all the activities at the KOA.

Summary: This isn’t a typical listing, check it out! There were three of us, but it’s easy to say the space is great for a large group, even if the weather forces you inside. There are two living rooms-ish spaces separated by the kitchen. The mattresses, pillows, and linens are new and comfy. We stayed in the late fall, so we can only vouch for the heating system. The kitchen has relatively new silver, utensils, pots/pans, and appliances - all that you’d expect. It’s not super fancy, but for the price, I thought it was a great value. Here are the differences relative to my other VRBO experiences: the rental is on and operated by KOA Campgrounds. Check in with the camp office when you arrive - it wasn’t clear in the arrival info. These are lovely folks, quick with a smile and happy to chat if they aren’t busy with check-ins or making pizzas. The WiFi is a camp-wide, low-bandwidth network with notifications about not streaming. If you like/need digital entertainment, bring your own hotspot. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be checking availability here. Oct 2022
