Welcome to Lyr at Orust in a scenic environment in Bohuslän. The house is from the 1970s with a time-typical simpler standard, beautifully situated in an idyllic setting on the popular Lyrön south of Orust. To get here you take a car ferry that runs regularly every full and half hour. Large, lovely unobstructed plot of 2800 sqm with both lawn, mountains and forest. A perfect house for a family with children or 4-5 people who want to spend a holiday in genuine Bohuslän. Single-storey house with spacious entrance that connects to the beautiful veranda. Open kitchen adjacent to living room with dining area and a sofa corner with two armchairs, small TV and a fireplace for cozy heating in the evenings. The house has three bedrooms, one with a double bed (160cm) and the other room with a single bed (90 cm) and the last room with a bunk bed (90 / 90cm). Bathroom with sink, washing machine and shower and separate WC and door for exit directly to the back of the house. The house also has a protective terrace under the roof at the front, where you can enjoy dinners well into the evening with heat lamps. From the house you can take a nice nature walk up on Valefjäll which is the highest point on Lyrön which takes about 30 minutes and if you want to cool off it is 800 meters to the nearest beach and jetty. There are opportunities for nice day trips to Mollösund, Kärringön and Gullholmen, either by boat or car. Feel free to bring bicycles for big and small. Lyr is an island south of Orust with some residents but most of the houses are holiday homes. There is no shop on the island, but a popular restaurant / fish shop called Bryggvingen only 3.5 km from the house. A must visit during your stay. Erik, who is a fisherman, has a boat that comes in with fresh fish directly into the restaurant and fish shop, which also sells some useful groceries and other delicacies. On the island you can also play mini golf and there is a local boules court. Around Lyrön there is fantastic water for kayaking. It is about 23 km to the grocery store and service in Varekil or Henån. In Henån Ica, system companies, pharmacies and other useful things. In Varekil, there is its own slaughterhouse with locally produced meat that is recommended to visit. If you are interested in bargaining, a visit to Göksäter is recommended. We also want to give you a tip on a cozy cafe in the area called Tavlebords Honungsgård. If you are interested in shopping, you should not miss a visit to Göksäter in the middle of Orust with the bargain department store Arvid Eriksson, which is popularly called "Little Ullared". Nöjesstaden Göteborg 80 km. At Orust there are opportunities for many activities - kayaking, diving, fishing, playing golf or just enjoying the tranquility and the beautiful nature.
