What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

May 29, 2023 06:00:04 AM
Summary: We needed a large property for a family celebration. The house was good value had all we needed. Plenty of space so we could have our own space and the shared rooms were large enough for us to all eat together, and take part in the activities we had planned. The property could do with a bit of a spruce up. Mix of furniture some beautiful old pieces and then some cheap modern not in keeping with the cottage at all. There were works happening through the night on the road that were rather noisy would have been nice to be informed before our stay. All in all the cottage is great value and would stay again for a large group, but not a luxury get away.

Summary: The farmhouse is rustic, but great. We had an excellent week. The support from the team at the golf club was also first class. The dishwasher was not working so they came to fix it, realised it could not be fixed and there was a new one installed the same day. Great for families. We would definitely use it again. The cleanliness mark is probably due to the house not being used for 3 months due to COVID 19. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: The farmhouse accommodated our large family, but the two ground floor bedrooms were served by a separate shower and toilet which were through the kitchen and utility room. Not ideal with children. The other en-suite bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Our biggest regret was that due to Covid 19, even in late August, the pool and spa facilities were not available. This had been a big driver in our choice of accommodation. We felt a reduction in the rental price was warranted but none was offered, ignoring my email request. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Just one small thing, the showers were not very hot and it didn't matter what time of day we were showing.

Summary: Over all we had a great break and we would recommend. However, the lower ratings are for, it was right by a noisy road which we're not used to, the dishwasher was very poor and didn't work very well, the furniture in the bedrooms was of a poor quality, cheap, flimsy and tired, though the beds themselves were fine. There was a bit of dust under the beds but otherwise everywhere was clean. The spa amenities and club house were really good, the children in particular loved the pool. The golf course was excellent. The house was roomy with character, bright and spacious and the outside space was lovely and well maintained. It was very expensive for a few nights so i think we had expected a higher quality.

Summary: Excellent for a weekend away - only criticism is the dishwasher does not work at all well. I had read this on previous reviews but it still hasn’t been fixed.

Summary: We arrived early and looked all round the cottage which was locked up and in darkness on a very dull day, none of the 3 ladies in reception could raise a welcoming smile and informed me through a mouthful of biscuit that the previous people had left it so dirty that it was still being cleaned! The house itself is large and comfortable but the shower and toilet off the utility room are not convenient for the people in the downstairs bedroom. A family of 9 adults celebrating an 80th birthday enjoyed all the facilities for 3 nights despite very poor weather. However the kitchen would not pass a hygiene inspection and needs a deep clean and new dishwasher. One of our party cleaned out the filters, refilled salt and rinse aid but everything still came out dirty even though we only partly filled it. Both oven interiors are so brown with grease you could smell them. The extractor above is thick with grease, the oven gloves so worn that you burn your hands, the emergency torch does not work and some light bulbs are out. Such a pity! Maleta.

Summary: The farmhouse had plenty of room for 12 of us and was comfortable. The house itself was clean although there were a lot of flies buzzing round the window in the kitchen when we arrived. We also had to call someone to clean the outside table and chairs and the patio needed sweeping and weeding. The house is a bit tired and needs a refurb but we had a nice weekend and the position is good next to a spa hotel with swimming pool, restaurant and a golf course.
