As former Alaskans, moving East we knew we had to find a house that felt close to nature, good for visiting guests and with lots of light. Well, we found that house and we love it! With lots of windows and sun exposure, comfortable common space and a big back deck and yard, the house is very conducive to quality time with family and friends.
It's 7 minutes or less to Cornell University , Ithaca College, downtown Ithaca, restaurants, grocery store, bakery, and many trailheads, and swimming holes. Wine country surrounds Ithaca, as do hundreds of miles of trails; our house is at the heart of the Finger Lakes!
There are three bedrooms and a fourth lofted bedroom. There is a fifth sleeping area that, each evening, can be converted from a living room to a bedroom with French doors., In total, the house can sleep 8. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The two acre neighborhood park, just beyond the hedgerow, has a large field and playground, great for kids! With the park as your neighbor, and a large backyard, you will have the feeling that you are in the middle of nature when sitting on the back deck barbecuing or enjoying an evening glass of wine. Our guests who come up from the city can't get enough of this!
We love our neighbors and respect the family friendly environment that Dove Drive has. Please take your enjoyment inside by 10 pm so as not to disturb our neighbors. House gathering/party is limited to the registered guests, I.e 8 or less people. Property manager resides in the neighborhood.

Summary: Mary’s house is in a wonderful residential neighborhood very close to the center of Ithaca! Her home is lovely and clean and warm and inviting. The back of her home has a lovely deck and is adorned by many bird feeders. It’s very peaceful back there and is a good way to take a personal time out when necessary! :) Mary arranged a phone call with us prior to our stay to answer any questions we had and to tell us a little bit about her home and where we could find certain things. Mary was also very quick to respond to our texts during our stay when we had a question. I’d say we had a 10 out of 10 weekend at Mary’s and would absolutely recommend staying there! Happy trails everyone!

Summary: Everything about this stay was fantastic. The location is truly perfect- close enough to Cornell and downtown, but still a nice secluded retreat once you're ready to wind down your day. The home itself was clean and had eveything we needed. And Mary was very communicative and even let us check out late so our young girls could get a nap in before heading to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days at this wonderful family home. It is located in a neighborhood 5-10 minutes from Cornell and downtown Ithaca. It was immaculate Upon arrival and had a beautifully stocked kitchen that made food preparation for the family easy and fun! The open kitchen/ family room/ living room layout and gorgeous outside deck and yard made It ideal for entertaining! Mary was a wonderful host and extremely communicative. Both check in and check out were easy. I would highly recommend this home!!

Summary: Three friends and I had a short stay in Ithaca. This house was perfect. We arrived late at night and had no problem finding the place or getting in. Communication the whole way with Mary was easy and very pleasant. She asked if we needed groceries. I didn’t think so but she left us some wonderful bagels and some basics. Turned out we loved it and so appreciative of doing that . House is very nice, clean and comfortable. Much better than staying in a very nice hotel because we’re all together and have some space . Special part of the house is the backyard with birds and bird feeders. I probably saw twenty different species of birds in the am w a cup of great coffee. Also - close to town / campus and easy to get too. I don’t get to Ithaca often but if I did I’d def want to stay at this house .

Summary: The house is spacious, gorgeous, and clean. Location is great. Nice quiet neighborhood but everything is close. Mary is extremely kind, helpful, and communicative. Don't hesitate to stay you will want to go back.
