Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: A warm and comfortable cottage in a scenic location with a lovely outlook - peace and quiet with no near neighbours other than sheep and cows - sightings of deer and birds Plenty of hot water and open fire in cosy lounge was appreciated, as was the washing machine.
Negative: Firstly the directions to the cottage were completely inadequate - it's not at Bettyhill but in the remote hamlet of Skerray and not at Achnabat but down a long and bumpy off road track further up the road. It was lacking in plates, cutlery etc - OK for three of us but wouldn't do for five. No shower over the bath upstairs. The booking procedure was a complete fiasco - we booked firstly through Vrbo and then Sykes cancelled, so we booked again on your platform. I will be reviewing Sykes separately on TrustPilot.
Summary: Enjoyable stay in comfortable cottage but could do with a bit of updating and more kitchen equipment

Positive: Lovely cozy cottage, great host, who had coffee and gave us information on the area, locals very friendly, great place to explore and try a little sea fishing off the rocks. I'd you want silence rainbows and comfort I would recommend this place we hope to revisit next June Two log burning fires provide ample heat all day if you can't be bothered with the fires there is also toast radiators
Negative: Directions to cottage are not accurate you should head for skerray harbour as the turning is near there up a gated lane on the opposite side. Make sure you have a spare tyre and all your shopping as it's an 80 mile round trip to the nearest supermarket and Halfords.
Summary: Cozy cottage
