This comfortable and well maintained house is an ideal choice for a relaxing family holiday with delightful and extensive gardens and a private pool. Located within walking distance or a five minute drive from the bustling market town of Orgiva which has bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a medical centre. The house nestles in stunning countryside with beautiful views and is a perfect holiday location with easy access to mountains, beaches and the historic city of Granada. The property is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, 42" TV and WiFi. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater in style and the stunning covered roof terrace enables you to eat outside or relax while taking in the mountain views by day and the breath taking stars at night. The sitting room is comfortable and spacious and French doors lead out to another eating area and then to the 8x4 meter pool. The garden is completely fenced in and provides a beautiful private space to relax and enjoy the natural serenity of the Alpujarras. There is one double bedroom with a cloakroom on the ground floor and a further two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower level; sleeping 6. Young children and babies are catered for with a high chair, toddler chair, travel cot, bed guards and a stair gate, but the pool is not fenced in, so adult supervision is required at all times. Rentals for the property are run Saturday to Saturday only in the high season. The property can be reached from airports at Granada 50mins, Malaga 90mins and Almeria 100mins. We strongly recommend that you hire a car from the airport.

Summary: We had a fabulous stay at Las Mariposas and this despite the restrictions of the 2020 Covid Pandemic. Because of this we tended to stay around the property most of the time and couldn't have wished for a better location, the views, the location, the house and gardens were perfect and more than kept us occupied. We were welcomed by Fiona and along with Ralf they do a superb job looking after the house, pool and gardens. We had two small dogs who were perfectly safe and loved roaming the extensive gardens/orchards, it's all fenced in and they could not "escape". If you're into cycling or walking then this is where you want to be, both activities are very popular in the area with more than enough routes to choose from and all very safe. Can't wait to return............

Summary: We arrived in the dark from Granada. After a short and excited sleep we awake to a slice of paradise. The house is lovely and cool. Nicely presented and clean. Lots of space, big comfy beds and fans to cool us through the warm nights. Kitchen well stocked and plenty bathrooms with showers. The real jewel is the stunning gardens and pool. We could not get over how much space and beauty was around us. All enjoyed from the roof terrace. A pleasure was enjoying a glass of something cool of an evening surrounded by the majesty of the mountains. Orgivia was lovely. The market a must on a Thursday. Came home with tonnes of locally grown fruit and veg and amazing rotisserie chickens!! Nice places to eat. Villages in mountains a must with Pampenerio a highlight. Coast lovely, stretch between Almunica and Nerja stunning. Caves were great. A bumpy trip to Los Juntos del Rios was an absolute delight. Crystal clear waters .....jaw dropping. Granada a truly beautiful city with lots to do. Great tapas and shopping! Fiona and Ralph were great. Keeping the house and pool. Please pop along to the tea gardens. A hidden gem. We were serenaded by a spanish classical guitarist whilst enjoying tea and cake.....bliss. Could not recommend this property more highly. Home fully rested and relaxed....

Summary: We had an amazing time & communications with the owner & Manager were very good & the one small issue we had was resolved extremely quickly. The villa has an amazing pool & extensive well maintained gardens. We loved the upstairs eating area with bbq. The views from the villa are to die for. Unfortunately our trip was cut short but we will hopefully return to explore the area.

The house was beautfully laid out and there wasn't a thing we could have wished for that wasn't provided. The garden is wonderfully laid out with multiple terraces to explore, and the pool became the main focus of every days activities. I definitely recommend staying in on a Wednesday morning to see the sluices being opened and at least one visit to the tea garden around the corner is a necessity. Small touches like local marmalade and olive oil waiting for us in arrival to the little pack of bed time books for the kids just added to our experiance. I can't recommend this house enough, and hope to visit again in the next couple of years.
