Looking for a newly renovated, family-oriented home in the heart of Amish country? Look no further.
Just minutes from major tourist attractions, professionally landscaped & recently updated Vintage House will not disappoint. Interested in taking the kids to Dutch Wonderland or Strasburg Railroad? Or visiting Sight & Sound Theaters, Kitchen Kettle Village or American Music Theater? Or getting some great shopping deals at Tanger or Rockvale Outlets or the quaint village of Intercourse? All these and more are just a short drive from our home! When you come home for the night, kick back with a cool dip in our in-ground pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), enjoy the hot tub and some outdoor grilling on our beautiful back patio with easy pool access.
Our home is perfect for families or small groups looking for a great place to connect in the heart of Amish country. Our two-story home has undergone major renovations in 2018 to the entire first floor including all new furniture, flooring and appliances. The upstairs was updated just a few years ago. Our family works hard to keep this home up to date and we are sure you will find the home to be very clean and comfortable for the duration of your stay.
Vintage House is fully furnished and has a full kitchen, a dining area, family room, and living room with additional sofas and a 51" smart TV that is Netflix ready. Free wi-fi is of course available throughout the home. There are some toys for the young kids, and a powder/laundry room on the first floor. Upstairs there are four neatly arranged bedrooms, one of which is a 'suite' with a queen-sized bed and full bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom is behind the second one and also attached to the hallway bathroom. It has a full-sized bed. The fourth bedroom has a 'twin over full' bunk bed.
The pool is just off the patio and is private & very clean. The kids will enjoy the slide and various pool toys available. There is also a covered patio area in addition to open patio space at the pool so adults can have a comfortable place to watch the kids or breaks for snacks can happen easily. If you'd like to use the fire pit, please provide your own wood. Enjoy the hot tub while on the patio as well!
Vintage House's location on historic Lincoln Highway means two things: first it means easy access to and from the best of what Lancaster County Amish country has to offer; second it means there is some traffic noise. The vast majority of our guests find this quite manageable, but please review other guests' comments to help you gauge this.
Our home has historically been booked every summer night so if you are interested in Vintage House and you see dates available, now is the time to reserve your spot at Vintage House!
Renters must be 25 years of age or older. Our home is NOT a party house. We will not tolerate illegal drugs, hookahs, smoking indoors or excessive alcohol consumption. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am and strictly enforced. We do not permit additional people at the home who are not included in the original booking. During the day we ask you to please be respectful of our neighbors and keep music turned down while outside. Thank you for being respectful of our neighbors and our property. We also have three outdoor security cameras for our guests' peace of mind.

Summary: This house is located close to all of the action in Lancaster. I was wishing it was summer so that we could take advantage of the pool and fire pit. It is located right on RT 30 so the location was great. While the road noise didn't bother us throughout the day, I would suggest a pair of ear plugs if you are a light sleeper like myself. My mother didn't hear a thing! :)

Summary: Our stay was nice overall, we came with 2 families to visit Dutch Wonderland. The home was very spacious and clean. We loved the hot tub and big table to eat meals together. It was quite loud with the busy road nearby, but the kids had so much to do that they were nice and tired and able to sleep through everything! The only real issue for us were the mattresses. They were not super comfortable and a bit sunken in towards the middle of the beds.

Summary: Our group, including 3 children 5-10 years, and 5 adults, 25-88 year - 4 generations - stayed for just one night. The home was clean and had all of the necessities for us. The kids enjoyed the pool and the provided pool toys, and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We were comfortable and the owners were accommodating to our request for an early check in. Thank you for an easy and comfortable stay.

Summary: Amazing host. Very responsive and communicative. Great home for families. Large spacious rooms and gathering areas. Nice pool, hot tub, out door eating area. Home was very clean. The only downside to this property is that it sits on Rt 30 with heavy truck traffic and is noisy for sleeping. Bring your earplugs or a noise machine and you’ll enjoy this home. Our family was grateful for a relaxing place with plenty of space.

Summary: The older house was very clean. The mattress was very soft, not good for a bad back. No air conditioning upstairs in the bedrooms. The shower worked welll lots of hot water. The pool was very nice with a lot of pool floats available. Don’t park under the pine trees they are dropping sap on cars. A real pain to clean off.
