2 Bedroom Cabin in Morrison County, Burtrum

Our tree house is on fifty acres in central Minnesota, about two hours north west of the twin cities. The tree house is a refreshing break away from the ordinary.
The tree house sits 18 feet off the ground on a ridge over looking Rock Lake. Its surrounded by our 50 acres and 500 acres of state land, we enjoy a lot of wildlife, peace and quiet here. Throughout the land there are a lot of trails for walking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. In the summer you can enjoy paddle boating and kayaking.
The tree house is built of almost all home sawed lumber. It has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, kitchen, a sitting area in both the loft and the main level. It also has heating and air conditioning making it possible to rent year round. There is a wrap around porch on three sides and a deck out front, To access the tree house you will walk over a thirty foot covered bridge that touches the ground on one side for easy access.

Summary: My wife and I look for fun/or unusual places to stay in MN during the winter months and we spend the days doing whichever is our craft of the moment. Beautiful locations are a nice way to spend long MN winter months. Though we are hardy Minnesotans, we dont leave the VRBO hardly at all so we look for someplace comfortable and warm.This place definitely fit the bill. It is SUPER cute with lots of places to have a little area to hang out, or sleeping if you're bringing a few people. It was really clean, comfortable furniture, comfortable bed, and a nice shower. We were there during some very cold weather and we were nice and toasty. So if you're worried about staying in winter, don't. It was not drafty, solidly built, and warm. It snowed as we were driving in and the huge round window upstairs made it look like we were looking out into a snow globe. It was a beautiful night. If you have any mobility issues, getting up the incline in the winter would require assistance and obviously there's a ladder inside to the upstairs.Very easy check in and check out. And they even let us check out late when I was feeling grumpy going into the cold weather to leave. Very nice folks.If you like the cold, it would be a beautiful area to go for a nighttime or sunny morning walk.The only thing I would want to see would be a coffee table or end tables by the couch. Oh, and pan spray. We'll bring our own next time. Lol :-)Definitely 10/10 recommend.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for our 15th anniversary getaway. It was a beautiful weekend. The treehouse is beautifully made, remote, and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie and spent some good quality time together with a puzzle. A perfect place for a getaway without the kids!
