Surrounded with pine trees to cleanse the air, the home was built as a retreat and place of healing for his daughter Ellin, the Estate’s namesake. Today the carefully and luxuriously remodelled Estate serves a similar function: a place away from it all, yet close to it all.
This airy and well appointed Estate House sits on a nature preserve of nearly 80 acres in Morris County, NJ. Combining elements of Craftsman and French Country charm with modern conveniences, the House will put you at ease, a place for retreat and re-connection.
Arriving at the Estate, after pulling up through the farm fields and charming original barns, you will come to the peak of Kings Hill and take in the grounds, whose charm will be immediately apparent. After settling in, as you walk out onto the Belvedere porch and take in the view of the New Jersey Highlands, you will completely forget you are just 30 miles from downtown Manhattan.

Summary: There was plenty of space and a homey feeling for my sisters and I to meet to attend a memorial service and funeral in Wayne for our Cousin. The winding, hilly roads, the beautiful dogwood tree, and the horses in the pasture watching us drive in reminded us of our parents home. The owner was very sweet and extremely responsive as we figured out the logistics of our travel plans. Thank you.

Summary: The cozy feel and lovely mountaintop location was the perfect place for our small group of volunteers to gather for a team recharge and refresh. In addition to our meetings and meals, we enjoyed morning walks and mountain views across a beautifully maintained landscape of sloping fields and old stone walls. Summary: We had a lovely stay - the home is charming, clean, well kept, and comfortable. The grounds and property are beautiful - we saw deer, wild turkeys, and all sorts of fun wildlife from the gorgeous picture windows. The kids loved playing in the large yard with lots of space to run around! Host was helpful and responsive. Home has every amenity you need - we especially loved the heated floors in the bathroom!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were back in the area visiting friends and family and this home was perfect for us and for entertaining some guests as well. The view is impressive, the home is spacious, and the location is great. Especially love the chef's kitchen and updated bathrooms. The checkin/checkout process was seamless. We will be back for sure!

Summary: Dealing with the property manager was easy. He was extremely responsive and timely. The property was a dream both inside and outside. The kitchen has everything you could need and aside from there, we were outside on the covered patio most. I have not ever stayed at such a clean property before. The beds were all pretty comfortable. And we had a wonderful and relaxing time. I don't think we could have asked for anything more. The only way it could have been any better, is if this property had a pool.

Summary: I knew that it would be wonderful, but not this wonderful. I was there 3 days alone before family joined me and I felt like telling them to reschedule so that I could enjoy this beautiful house all by myself. I suggest that you go to the house before shopping because there are tons of herbs, oils, etc. that you would buy at the local market. Plus many of the local restaurants deliver, so me, one who loves to cook, was enjoying the local food. I could go on for hours because I do vacation rentals several times a year and am very critical, but this is the first one that I can't find anything to complain about. Giovanni, I will be back soon.
