Upon arrival, relax and leave your shoes behind! For your comfort we provide spa slippers and bathrobes, however, you may like to bring your own.

Walk through the custom-built ached-entry and door leads into a transitional mud-room which takes you to a winding stairway into the open studio, lofty-living-area featuring high vaulted ceilings and a stunning rock "gas" fire place where a custom-carved wooden mantel is showcased. There are handsome solid-oak: doors, flooring, paneled ceiling, beams, closets, cabinetry, and trim, throughout.
Continue through another arched-way past the breakfast bar and enter into the eat-in-kitchen; sip coffee while watching the ever changing seasons and wildlife. This old-world kitchen is made of; custom stained: oak and glass cabinets. Tile flooring and back splashes feature attractive mosaic stone. There are fabulous built-in’s and many modern conveniences that would delight any country-cook.
To the right you will find an office area with desk placed under an arched dormer for plenty of reading light. Around the corner is a water-closet and shower suite, which incorporates stone counters and dotted-mosaic floors. There is a eight foot oak armorer and sleeping nook, kitchen alcove with bar and with unsurpassed views.
This one-of-a-kind home possesses the loving touch of a craftsman of by-gone-years; solid construction; custom finished; earthen trawled walls; stained glass windows and lighting; inlaid flooring; paneled ceiling; niches; shelving; and so much more!
The stately exterior is made of rock masonry and log siding. Out back you will find a covered deck, with wooden chairs and coffee table with chat seating.
This picturesque approximately 10 acre site, (surrounded by 100's of acres and 3 sides) designed for you to experience the ideal country setting. Featuring a beautiful lantern-lit and tree-lined winding driveway; perennial flower beds; and ever green trees.
For those who admire the outdoors, you will enjoy amazing sunsets, hidden valleys, multiple waterfalls, luscious woods, endless fields and majestic mountains views. Skii out the back door, hike, mountain bike, horseback ride on beautiful mountain trails. The beautiful ever changing foliage: from deep green, amber, crimson, golden, to shimmering white snow with big flakes that sprinkle on the home and near by rolling hills.
There is room on the expansive grounds to have a bbq's and a wood burning camp fire. Roast marshmallows, and experience the ambiance of firefly's that light up the hillside, star gaze, play games or horse shoes, badminton and croquet.
This home is blessed with plenty of privacy, and is a wonderful spot to watch birds, especially delightful are the yellow finch. You may get a gimps of other wildlife from this fantastic elevated setting. There is plenty of open space to explore, ride, hike, snow shoe, sled, or cross country right out the back door on forest trails.
It is located very close to the historical hamlet of Pompey; Toggenburg Mountain Winter Sports Center; for snow boarding and skiing. Highland Forest for hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trails and is between the three villages of Cazenovia, Jamesville and Skaneateles Lakes which have beautiful restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, ballooning and aquatic lake activities. The property is approximately 20 - 35 minutes to Syracuse.

Summary: I stayed at the carriage house for a 2 week trip to see family. I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the check-in to the communication with the property owners, everything was wonderful. This place has everything I needed - a quaint place to work from home to various areas to relax My favorite part was waking up to the wonderful views of nature. Such a cozy place - I will definitely be back to stay!

Summary: My fiancé and I had an incredible time here! The view was our personal favorite- we tried to get back in time in the evenings to watch the sunset as it was absolutely breathtaking! We weren’t technically engaged, but we considered ourselves to be (no official rings) until our second night here when I proposed to my boyfriend of two years!! Anyway, back to my review. Everything was spotless clean! This is quite possibly the cleanest and most well maintained place we have stayed in. Scott and Cherie were the sweetest and most generous people! There is WiFi too and it works great, if you need it. The shower took a little getting used to but we finally got the hang of it on our second day. If you have fishing equipment or kayaks/canoes we highly recommend stopped down at DeRuyter Reservior. Beautiful spot to fish or go out on the water and only a 15-20 minute drive South! Or stop by Dave’s Diner in Cazenovia for breakfast/lunch. All in all we had an amazing time and hope to be back again in the future!!

Summary: Cherie and Scott were so welcoming! Definitely would recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away to a quiet space. My husband and I stayed three nights for our anniversary and couldn't have gotten a better place. This place has SO much character! We fell in love with their scrabble board, we definitely used that quite a bit. Great location to soak up some nature

Summary: The place is quite lovely. The setting is completely secluded and quite lovely. The building is charming and the woodwork and trim are a work of art. The place was perfectly clean and thoughtfully furnished. One thing that I didn't glean from the description is that main living area it is one large room. That was fine for me as I was on a work retreat. But folks with skewed sleep schedules, etc might find it difficult. But, all up, it was a great stay.

Summary: The house is very picturesque with a winding drive leading up to the entrance. There is a nice view from every window looking down across the fields, and it's very serene. We had coffee as we sat outside in the morning, and at night you can sit by the fire pit and watch the fireflies. Our hosts were very considerate, anything we could think of they provided for us. Getting around was a breeze and it is also close to some nice waterfalls and hiking trails as well as lakes.

Summary: We had the most magical time at this property! Cherie and Scott are amazing hosts - Scott built this beautiful house with his own hands - the countless aesthetic details - Craftsman styling, stained glass, lighting, woodwork, etc. - are a wonder to behold, and the photos can hardly do justice to experiencing this lovely property in person. We were in the area celebrating our 15-year anniversary, and even though it rained much of the week, we had the best time, just enjoying the comforts of the house, exploring the area, and relaxing. We did have one clear night for stargazing, which was magnificent - especially with all the fireflies as added enhancement! We saw bunnies, deer, butterflies, yellow finches, Northern Flickers (ground woodpeckers), hummingbirds, and visited some lovely local waterfalls, parks, and hikes. Our overall goal for the trip was just to chill and lay low, so we appreciated the high-end scrabble board and just the general peacefulness and privacy of the property. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our milestone, and we definitely hope to return! Thanks Cherie and Scott, for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! 💜

Summary: My partner and I wanted a weekend away at the Finger Lakes and during my quest I stumbled upon this gorgeous gem. The location turned out to be stunning, the photo's just cannot convey the beauty of not only the property but the carriage house itself. It's immaculate and tastefully designed. Cherie and Scott have also ensured total comfort by providing more than just a few basics. Cherie and Scott provided many wonderful suggestions for local places to explore and we took much of their advice and also followed our own wanderlust and landed upon wonderful weekend treasures in the area. We could not have been more pleased with our experience at the cottage both pre and post as well as the weekend. We HIGHLY recommend these hosts and this stellar location.

Summary: Me and my husband are traveling a lot and use to rent nice vacation houses all the time. But this house was by far the best we had in years .
