Positive: The rooms were very bright and the location was excellent - parking and getting to/from any direction was easy. It has a very nice ambiance!

Negative: It is better suited for 3 than for 4 people. For longer stays, access to laundry would be nice. A dish washer would be beneficial.

Positive: The flat is a nice and cozy attic conversion. Great location in the valley looking up over the surrounding hills/mountains. It felt peaceful. We found trail maps for local hikes of various levels of difficulty, which was very useful. It was very thoughtful of the host to leave some biscuits and teas/coffee for us when we arrived. The toys trunk was much appreciated by our two daughters! Very good shower.

Negative: Nothing. Just a comment about the top floor location. Although the top floor of the house gives great views, I guess the downside is that, windy and stormy conditions (like the ones we encountered while there) can be felt in the form of howling wind and drafts of air through the windows which are not double glazed. That is not too troubling as the house has an heating system - unless your children are terrorised by that and you have light sleep (!), the master bed is attached to one window.

Positive: Sofia was an incredible host - responsive, and so helpful in coordinating changes to dates and times of our stay. Really great service. The apartment is in a lovely downtown location close to shops and restaurants - the heart of Manteigas, and a great base to explore the town and surrounding mountains. All the basics you need to stay for a few days - good kitchen supplies, good bathroom, a little balcony and laundry line, etc. The sofa bed works totally fine, just sleep in the other direction (head at the foot of the bed). Great value overall for a central flat!

Negative: No deal breakers, this is a great spot. Being in the heart of downtown, there is traffic noise - but things were quiet at night so we still had good sleeps. Couch wasn't the most comfortable - not really a place to lounge during the days, but assuming you're going to be out exploring the beautiful surroundings, not a big deal at all!

Summary: Absolutely reccomend for a few days stay in Manteigas
